Woman tries to claim Tesla is hers

This is likely schizophrenia. Similar things have happened at my office. There was this one fairly attractive girl who would sneak in and drink from our beer tap in the middle of the afternoon. I had a conversation with her once as she tried to get into the office. It was weird as hell. She looked so normal we probably never would have noticed if she did it at 5:00.

A strange sense of propriety like they own things or belong somewhere is common. She wasn’t sneaking in stealing beer because she was a thief, she thought she belonged there. We wouldn’t find her slamming down a bunch of beers or something, just pleasantly sipping one in the lunch room. Always made me really sad.

This is definitely a new one for us, and something you likely haven’t seen before. We told you recently about how someone mistakenly unplugged a Tesla thinking it was theirs, only to realize that their Tesla was parked a few stalls away.

A video has been posted to Facebook of a couple sitting in their Model 3 while charging, when a woman approaches the vehicle and claims that it is her vehicles. She proceeds to shout and yell at the couple that the vehicle is in fact hers, while the occupants (and actual owners) of the vehicle ask her how they were able to get in if it wasn’t theirs.

We’re not quite sure how to explain this one. The most probable explanation for this video is that the lady is either high on something, or experiencing some kind of mental issue, and this wasn’t a case of mistaken identity. Either way, a scary situation for the owners of this Model 3.

There have been instances where we have claimed something to be ours only to find out that we were mistaken. These mistakes are mostly by accident and not intentional, but sometimes people get humiliated by the act that they choose to stand by it. There are also chances where people do it on purpose to steal other people’s properties. Or maybe they are just plain crazy and want to cause a scene to get attention. Here in this video, an incident with an unknown woman who insists that a car is hers, angrily yells at the true owners and forced them to get out of the car.

The clip was filmed and posted by the man seated at the passenger side of the car. He recounts the incident saying that he was with his friend checking out the 15″ display on her new Model 3 Tesla. Then the woman suddenly removed the charging plug of the car—they thought she was the power meter person-in-charge. But then his friend opened the door and the woman said, “This is my car”. When they specifically said that it was not hers, the woman began to raise her voice.

She was seen holding an umbrella and demanded that they plug the car in. She says that the car, which appears to be gray, is hers and insisted that it was a blue car. After being hysterical she then turns around and leaves throwing the umbrella to the ground and tells them that she’s going to call the police on them. We clearly don’t know if the woman was mentally deranged or was just doing a crazy prank. The man said the encounter was short but pretty intense and reported that campus security later apprehended the said woman.
