Xur: Agent of the Nine and a vendor in Destiny 2. He sells Legendary and Exotic items for Legendary Shards. He only appears on the weekends between 12 PM EST on Friday to 12 PM EST on Tuesday, and his location changes each week. He will appear in the public sector of any of the four worlds: European Dead Zone, Titan, IO, and Nessus or in the Tower.

Anyone who is serious about staying up to date and competitive in Bungie's looter-shooter MMOPRG relies on the ever-changing Destiny 2 Xur location. The franchise's favourite mysterious vendor is always darting around the galaxy for one reason or another, and we're here to make sure you always know exactly where he is.

If it's time for you to check in on old Xur, read on to find out not where Xur is this week, but also what you can expect to buy from him. You might want to double-check his inventory before you seek him out. There's no point visiting the man if he has nothing that'll help you.

Where is Xur This Week?

Xur is in the EDZ. Load into the Winding Cove and head north. Xur is up on the cliffside by the large fallen ship. You'll have to traverse the rocks or go through the tunnel under the ship to get to Xur.

What is Xur selling this week?

Here are the Exotics that Xur is selling this week:

• Tractor Cannon
• The Dragon's Shadow (Hunter)
• Lion Rampant (Titan)
• Contraverse Hold (Warlock)

Xur's Exotics this week are pretty solid this week. Tractor Cannon is a great weapon to have, especially if you're a Titan doing harder solo content. As for the armor, Lion Rampant is a great pick up for Titan. While you're not keeping them on, it's great for armor swaps to traverse different terrain. Contraverse Hold is also a good pick up for Warlocks looking for a Void exotic.

Xur's Hawkmoon this week is pretty mid. Snapshot Sights is a nice perk, but it's not a damage perk so it's not preferrable. The Dead Man's Tale on the other hand, is pretty medicore.

Here are the Legendary Weapons that Xur is selling this weekend:

• Cold Denial (Zen Moment, Headseeker)
• Royal Entry (Genesis, Thresh)
• Fractethyst (Ensemble, Trench Barrel)
• Enigma's Draw (Triple Tap, Rangefinder)
• Distant Tumulus (Pulse Monitor, Quickdraw)

Of the weapons that Xur has this weekend, the spread isn't super great. There is one weapon worth considering, which is Cold Denial. This is a 340 RPM pulse rifle and really it's place is a dueling weapon in PVP. Now, Headseeker is a very controversial perk, because if you just hit your headshots, then you don't need it. But if you're aim is a little off and you land some body shots, you can get those stronger headshots to compensate. There is definitely better out there, but not a terrible weapon.

Armor is also generally pretty average. Nothing crazy really stands out except the Hunter helm, which has a decent Resilience roll, but everything else is pretty average. Though this armor set is the opulent armor, so if you don't have that set, maybe worth picking up for transmog.

Who Is Xur?

If you're new to the game, Xur is a character that sells exotic weapons and armour over the weekend. He appears at 5pm GMT (6 PM BST) in a seemingly random location and offers rare gear in exchange for legendary shards that you can collect from dismantling legendary gear or completing activities.

We say random location, but he'll always be in the same spots you've always found him in - "Winding Cove" in the EDZ, in a tree in "Watcher's Grave" on Nessus, or in the Hangar in the Tower. He used to appear on Io and Titan, but both of those locations are now in the "Destiny Content Vault".

We won't know what he's offering for players until he appears, but we do know that he'll offer a variety of items.

Xur's inventory always includes one exotic weapon, three exotic armour pieces (one per class), and an isochronal engram that guarantees a drop of a random exotic from Year One or Year Two - and it's always something the player doesn't have, which makes it ideal for finishing collections.

As of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, he'll also offer a bounty that rewards players with an Exotic Cipher – an item that helps them earn exotic weapons from the new kiosk in the Tower.

How Is Xur?

Everyone is always asking "Where is Xur," but never "How is Xur?" Having been the guardian's primary quartermaster since the original release almost ten years ago now - he's probably getting pretty lonely at this point as players seek him out on a set day, grab what they can, and ignore his ex for another few days.
