When is 1.18 coming out for minecraft java

Every year at Minecraft Live, the developers reveal the main features of the next major Minecraft 1.18 update. Last year, the highly anticipated Caves & Cliffs update was revealed. Due to the size of the update, it unfortunately had to be split into two parts.

Minecraft 1.18 is the second part of this update, which will bring some major features, mountain and cave biomes. Players willing to explore these new biomes can install the latest release candidate or beta.

When does the update come out?

Minecraft 1.18 Caves & Cliffs Java Update and Bedrock Edition will be released on November 30th. Unfortunately, no specific time for the release has been announced by Mojang.

Since the release of Minecraft 1.17 update to 18 GMTfans can look forward to the next Minecraft 1.18 update come out at about the same time.

New biomes in Minecraft 1.18 update

Six new mountain biomes are added to the game with this update, which are grasslands, groves, snowy slopes, frozen peaks, jagged peaks, and stony peaks.

Initially, the caves were to receive three new biomes. However, the developers held back a few features from the update, including one of the cave biomes. Therefore, only Lush Caves and Drip Caves are going to be released at this time.

Features removed from Minecraft 1.18

Unfortunately, one of the most exciting biomes, the Deep Dark Cave, has been removed from this update. Guardians, Sculks, Archeology, Bounties, and Goat Horns were also excluded from the update due to severe time constraints.

The good news is that these features have only been held back for now and aren't completely out of the picture. Players will be able to see all of these features when the next major update, Minecraft 1.19, is released.

Minecraft 1.18 is finally out worldwide for everyone to play. You can get it downloaded and ready to go right now.

Release Date Confirmed

We now finally know that Minecraft Caves and Cliffs part two will launch on November 30th, later this month.

You have just under two weeks to get everything ready and downloaded in time.

Minecraft 1.18 Release Date

Up until now, we had some pretty good guesses. Finally, we know it will arrive on November 30th.

The team has been releasing tonnes of new snapshots, testing the waters for their new ideas. If these all go well and no major issues pop up, the team should be nicely on schedule. This means we can expect to see the update some time between November and December this year.

Release Time

Like the release date, we don't have a release time yet but we have a pretty good guess. Caves and Cliffs part one updated at around 1 pm ET / 6 pm BST on Tuesday, June 8th.

We can expect something similar for the second part.

What's in it?

Minecraft 1.18 is all based around caves and cliffs. Where part one was setting up the groundwork, this is finishing it out. We should expect to see huge changes to the way structures are put together and caves should be much bigger with new biomes and places to explore.

What are Snapshots?

Snapshots are a way for the team to test out new features on part of the playerbase. It essentially treats players like bug testers, getting them to report any issues and help the team build a better game.

You can only access them on Minecraft java by enabling them in the settings menu.
