Rikudo probably used Izanagi the logical way. Izanagi allows you to make your imagination become a reality. I've always questioned why not make whatever fantasy they have become a reality, and make sure that fantasy includes keeping your eye.... Izanagi users can theoretically become gods. But ofc, everyone not named Rikudo is hit with the stupid villain shtick.

Didn't the Sage use his version to separate the Juubi's chakra into the other bijuu? If so, that would suggest that he could use it without being a jinchuuriki. Anyway, that said, I'm guessing that the only way to use it on his level (or even spam it in general) requires some particular skill or power that the others with the Rinnegan haven't achieved yet, unless Madara is still just holding back for ****s and giggles.

That said, didn't Izanami and Izanagi basically render the eye unusable? Not just blind, but completely incapable of anything. The only thing EMS was said to do was prevent blindness. Not quite the same thing.

Yeah the eye doesn't go blind but premenatly closes shut.

No, it goes blind too. Being shut just makes it clear they don't work.

You don't need an eyelid to keep your eyes in check, just the tear ducts. You can keep an eyepatch.Also, Itachi's eye stayed blind when he used izanami.

Also also, that's completely ridiculous, have you no sense of proportional cost?

But Itachi didn't have the EMS, he just has the MS.The EMS allows you to never lose your light.

The MS allows you to use Susano'.

I know. My point is that he's saying izanagi just keeps your eyelid shut and doesn't affect the actual eye at all, and that's dumb.
