This video shows you how to replace a burnt out rear turn signal on your 2008 Chevrolet Impala. We recommend that you change both the driver and passenger side bulbs at the same time on your Impala as they get dimmer over time and if one is out, then the other one is likely to burn out soon. If the turn signal (also known as a blinker or flasher) blinks rapidly or doesn't blink at all or lights up without blinking when it is turned on, this is your Impala's way of telling you that the bulb is burnt out. Turn your hazard lights on and check the front of your Impala and then the back, whichever side is not lighting up is the side with the burnt out bulb.

When changing the turn signal bulb in your Impala, be careful not to touch the glass portion of the bulb with your fingers as this will cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.

Is the tail light and turn signal the same bulb?

In many newer cars there is one light bulb per tail light. There are two filaments in each light bulb. One is for your brake light and one is for your turn signal.

Do front and rear turn signals use the same bulb?

Typically, the rear turn signal bulb is located in the tail light housing; it is simply a matter of exchanging bulbs. The front, although it uses the same mounting method, maybe be more difficult to gain access to the front housing. In either case, the bulbs are cheap and easy to get.

What kind of bulb is a turn signal bulb?

Side mirror turn signal lights are often powered by small LED bulbs, which use very little energy and have a long lifespan.
