Is the first boss of the Lost City of Amdapor soloable?

If you solo the first boss, it will always target and eat you.
I was hoping Shadowflare and Titan-egi's Enkindle would somehow manage to kill the maw in time, but it always just stops short.
Are there ANY ways to survive being eaten?
There was one time I managed to SOMEHOW survive and got spit out with 35 hp left, but I have been unable to replicate this at all.
With no vit accessories as a summoner, I have almost exactly 12k hp. With vit accessories, i have 14k HP.
I only really have summoner, scholar, dragoon, and black mage to 60. Can any of these classes somehow survive it?

SCH with VIT accessories, stoneskin + adlo? Just an idea, not sure if it'll work.

I don't think the DoTs would do enough damage to the stomach to allow that to happen. At least not at the current gear level. Even with a proper timed shadow flare.

I looked at the combat log and saw it did as much damage as I had HP. Then I put adlo and stoneskin up and it still killed me. It seems like it does just enough damage to kill you every time.

Yeah, I did a test with me as a SCH and a friend who was a WHM. Even with extra vit gear it still killed us every time. I still have no idea how I managed to survive that one time with 35 HP, maybe my Titan somehow managed to kill maw right before I died somehow.

The only way would be if your pet + Shadowflare could kill the stomach i do not think it could be done and yeah it kills you if stomach not killed try as smn i suppose use ifrit and swiftcast shadowflare right before he eats you

It doesn't help my BLM is pretty crappy geared, but at least I can survive the 1st Spit on that job. Then I don't have enough HP to finish him off. I guess it'll be doable around i250.

Hmmm I guess I'll try it again. Oh well, I guess farming for sarklight caster boots wont be as easy as the gloves.

You do realize every dungeon of that patch iteration drops everything, right? You can do the other two dungeons. Try Halatali HM or Brayflox HM.

Is the first boss of the Lost City of Amdapor soloable?

I only recently discovered this so I'm a little flaky on the exact details. But here is the jist of it.

When you are about to get eaten by the boss. He will throw a Prey on you. Now, there is a way to remove that prey. All you need to do is run into another person. That person will get prey and restart the "timer" for when you are about to be eaten. You then receive a debuff called "Slippery Prey." Which makes you unable to receive prey.

The idea is to pass the Prey along to another person. Then that person needs to wait a couple seconds and pass it to the 3rd person. Just keep passing it around and you will never get eaten.

Can you solo level 80 dungeons Ffxiv?

Dungeons from Heavensward (levels 51 to 60) can be reliably taken on solo from level 80. A level 80 healer or tank can reliably solo most trials from A Realm Reborn and Heavensward, including many Extreme ones.

How do I unlock Lost City of Amdapor hard?

How To Unlock The Lost City Of Amdapor (Hard) This dungeon is unlocked through the following side quest. This quest will only appear after completing the Main Scenario Quest 'Heavensward', and the side quest 'One Night in Amdapor', which tasks you with completing the normal version of this dungeon.
