Nicole Kidman has been in the limelight for what feels like forever now, and it's common knowledge that she wears wigs in the majority of her films — Aquaman and Destroyer are just two of many examples. But is it purely for getting into character? Or could it be because she's actually balding? On a recent episode of the podcast What’s The Tee, hosts RuPaul and Michelle Visage sparked a conspiracy theory that it could be the latter. Show
It all started with RuPaul saying, "nobody does wigs like Nicole," which then somehow spiraled into a debate about whether or not she has hair. The two hosts discussed how Kidman rarely shows off her real strands, and then Visage jokingly suggested that she's actually bald. RuPaul refused to believe it, though, adamant that she's just not a fan of her natural hair. "She's not bald!" he said. "She's just got curly hair that ends up being very brittle." Silly conspiracy theories aside, we went ahead and did a little digging to find out what Kidman's natural hair really does look like, and of course, the photos we stumbled upon are stunning. In a headshot we found from 1989, Kidman sports a bombshell head of thick red curls cascading down her back. It's certainly a far cry from the blonde blowouts we're used to seeing her in today, and yet it 100 percent looks like hers. A later shot taken in 1992 shows Kidman with the same coily hair texture, but this time she's a sunny blonde. Perhaps RuPaul is right: Maybe Kidman has never been crazy about her natural color.

Getty Images And yet, in her latest film, The Undoing, she's rocking a full head of fiery red waves that don't appear to be a hairpiece (though some are so good these days it's impossible to tell). When HBO released The Undoing in October 2020, it quickly became a phenomenon for drama-starved viewers who had spent the past seven months quarantining at home.
