Dont wake daddy game not working

There's a delicious chocolate cake in the kitchen which is just impossible to resist. Luckily Dad is asleep and the kids are about to try creeping past to get a piece. But they really have to be careful, there are so many obstacles along the way and any one of them could WAKE DAD!

Getting Ready to Play:

Place the game board in the centre of the table.

Place the two stickers on the bed spaces as shown in the save/print PDF above.

Shuffle the cards and deal out the same number to allplayers, face up. Keep any leftover cards near the board.

Everyone chooses a playing piece and puts it on the slippers of the same colour by the kids' bed.

Move the switch on the underneath of Dad's bed to the 'I' position. Locate the bed so its legs fit into the four holes on the board. Put Dad into his sleeping position if he isn't already, and he will start snoring!

The Aim:

Be the first player to reach the chocolate cake in the fridge.

Playing the Game:

The youngest player starts and the game continues clockwise. Players spin the spinner and follow these instructions:

IF THE ARROW POINTS TO A COLOUR:

Move the playing piece to the next empty space of the colour spun. It can't be on the same space as another piece, if necessary move to the next space of that colour.

Most of the spaces have a picture on them. If the player holds the card that matches this image, they are safe. If not, they must press the alarm clock down the number of times indicated on the space.

If Dad stays asleep, the game continues.

If Dad wakes up, he has caught that player! They must return to their slippers and start the journey again. Any players that are on the two bed blanket spaces when Dad awakes must also go back to the start.

When a player is caught they can take the card that matches the picture that made them wake Dad, it will protect them later. Dad is now placed back into the sleeping position.

Players landing on a space with an arrow do not have to press the clock at all.

IF THE ARROW POINTS TO '+':

The player can choose one card to take from another player.

IF THE ARROW POINTS TO 'SLIPPERS':

The playing piece is moved to the first space in front of the leading player (if the leading player is on the last space, move into the kitchen. See 'How to Win'). If already in the lead before moving, the player spins again.

How to Win:

If a player spins and there are no more spaces left of that colour, they have made it to the kitchen! Press the alarm clock one more time. If Dad doesn't wake, they have reached the cake and won the game.

   Assemble all the pieces to Daddy's bed. Some stickers go below the alarm clock, along with on the headboard and at the bed's foot. You will also need to place Daddy into bed before attaching the headboard. Daddy also needs to wear his yellow bed cap (unless it falls off).

   • Place Daddy's bed on the board. On the newest copies of games, there's a dashed line that forms the "border" to the place of where to put the bed and in what direction to put it.
   • Snap Daddy into bed.
   • Prepare the spinner. Not only will you need the cardboard with the color, but you'll need the spinner arrow and the spinner base, which attaches to the bottom of the card. If you've already fixed this, you may just need to get this spinner out from the box.

   Each player should have the same number of cards as spaces on the board.

   • If there are three players playing this game, you will have unequal cards. Take one card and place it to the side up and out of the way. This space becomes a "free space" for that game - and everybody who lands on this spot is safe. However, randomize this chosen card for this game.

   Players should be resting on the "bed" graphics in the one corner.

   • If you have more than the max point of players, you can use almost any standing object as an alternative. It works just fine!

   Gameplay passes to the left after that.[1] However, if you'd like, you can randomize this and choose whoever you want.

   The spinner has designated color spots, as well as a purple color with a star. Players take turns spinning the wheel one by one.

   The sequence repeats in this order, all along the board - red, blue, yellow, green. Move your player card based on the color designated by the spinner.

   If the spot doesn't have a picture, you're safe. Nothing else needs to be located - play can be passed to the next person successfully.

   If it's you, you're safe. Play advances to the other players. If it's not you, the card featuring it must be passed to you and you must complete the next step.

   This is where to find the number of times you'll need to activate daddy's alarm clock. Learn what happens if you spin and land on white space with the black or purple star. This will depend on a number of actions:

   • Advance to the spot directly ahead of the leader - regardless of how many spots you need to travel to get there.
   • Spin the spinner again if you are the leader anyway.

   The alarm clock button is the only button on the bed's alarm itself. If Daddy wakes up (pops up) during the pressing, bring your mover card back to the start location, reset daddy's head back into bed and begin again.

   Advance to the end "Rainbow Refrigerator" space when there are no more open color spaces. The winner is the first one to land on the Rainbow Refrigerator - the Rainbow Refrigerator is thought of as the spot holding all the last available colors.

  You can't really tie with anyone because you are spinning the wheel one at a time. You can be on the same lane but you can't win at the same time.

• The instructions say that this game is geared towards those ages 3 to 6. However, if the players are older, it's okay. They will have just as fun!

• The bed operates via mechanical adjustments and doesn't require batteries of any kind. The spinner is operated mechanically too and doesn't take a lot to activate.

• The object of the game is to be the first player to tiptoe from your bed, past all the noisy obstacles, to the refrigerator.

• This can be a frustrating game. You'll probably get upset and feel like Daddy is rigged if Daddy jumps up too many times. However, this isn't that way. You just have to be patient!
