Costume Highlights

Throughout the fifth film of the Harry Potter series, Hermione’s fashion comes out even more. Like the previous films, items were reused throughout for different outfit combinations. Some common items were the Gap Tan Trousers and a pair of red and blue sneakers.

Outfit #1 – Hogwarts Uniform

Hermione’s Hogwarts uniform consists of a white button-down shirt with the Gryffindor tie, under a Lochaven of Scotland Cardigan sporting her House’s colours as well; a black knee-lenght pleated skirt; black tights and a pair of black Mary Jane school shoes.

Creating your Look! Start with a plain Oxford shirt in white, and add a red and gold striped tie. Add a black cardigan with a V-neck on top, and pair it with a black pleated skirt. Look for a pair of plain Mary Jane flat pumps in black leather, and wear them with opaque black tights. Don’t forget your wand!

Outfit #2 – At Grimauld Place

Hermione wore a Gap Stripe Polo Shirt with a pair of Gap Beige Trousers. She also wore a dark brown perforated belt.

Creating your Look! The pieces of Hermione’s look are easy to find. Begin with a striped polo shirt in a light pink. Then you will need a pair of beige or light tan boot-cut trousers. Finish with a dark brown belt with a perforated design.

Outfit #3 – Riding the Wagons to Hogwarts

Hermione wore a light gray, zip-up bomber style jacket over a light colored plaid button-up shirt with a pair of dark wash, boot-cut jeans. The only accessory added to this look was a dark-colored belt.

Creating your Look! Start off this look with a light colored plaid or checked button-up shirt. Next, you will need a pair of boot-cut style jeans in a dark wash. If you want to add a belt to this look, you will need to find a dark blue (or other dark color) belt with a rectangular buckle in copper or gold. Over her plaid shirt, Hermione wore a light gray colored bomber-style jacket with two large flap pockets with snap closures.

Outfit #4 – At The Hogs Head 

Hermione wore an olive green coat, a Gap Jumper, and a pair of Gap Cord Trousers in chocolate brown. She stayed warm with a knit hat and a matching knit scarf.

Creating your Look! To recreate Hermione’s look you will need a fair isle or nordic pattern sweater in white, an olive green, zip-up coat, a pair of chocolate brown or coffe colored cord pants. Finish off your look with a pair of dark brown boots with a faux fur lining or cuff.
You can also add a set of a knit beanie hat and scarf in grey.

Outfit #5 – Christmas

Hermione wears a Zara Floral Print Silk Short Sleeve Blouse, a dark pink, long-sleeved top underneath, and a pair of Gap Cord Trousers in chocolate brown.

Creating your Look! To recreate Hermione’s look, you will need two tops and a pair of chocolate or coffee brown colored boot-cut jeans. Your first top needs to be short-sleeved and have a dark pink floral print on top of a lighter base. The second top will need to go underneath your first top. This top will need to be in a solid dark pink color.
Now all you require is a pair of cord trousers or regular jeans in a dark brown color.

Hermione wears a dark pink sweater with thin stripes in a lighter pink. She also wore a pair of Gap Beige Trousers with a perforated, Hermione finished off this look with a pair of trainers in a dark purple color. Her only accessory is a dark blue belt with a golden, rectangle shaped buckle.

Hermione wears a GAP Stripe Jumper with a pair of dark wash jeans. Underneath her jumper she wears a light pink button-down collared shirt. Hermione finished off this look with a pair of trainers in a dark purple color. Her only accessory is a dark blue belt with a golden, rectangle shaped buckle.

Next, you will need a pair of boot-cut style jeans in a dark wash. Underneath her sweater, Hermione wore a pale pink button-down shirt. Depending on the weather, you can either wear this as well or skip it.

Outfit #8 – Something to live for

Hermione wore a medium-green military-style blouse over a light blue crew neck shirt. She also wore a pair of Gap Beige Trousers with a dark brown perforated belt.
Hermione carried a light brown leather tote bag onto the train home.

Creating your Look! Start off this look with a light blue shirt. Hermione’s has a crew neck, however, you can wear a shirt with any stlye neckline. Next you will need an olive green military style jacket or button-up shirt to wear over your first shirt.
Now you will need a pair of light tan or beige boot-cut trousers or jeans. Loop a dark brown perforated belt through the loops and grab a light tan leather or faux-leather tote bag.

Behind the Scenes Outfit #1

Emma wore a striped button-down shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a plain white T-shirt underneath, bootleg jeans in blue, suede ankle boots and a headband. Unfortunately, no exacts matches were ever found for this outfit.

Creating your Look! This is a really simple everyday outfit that you can wear for work or school. You will need a striped shirt, which is the fun piece in this ensemble, and wear it with a white scoop neck tee underneath or not. Emma’s jeans are bootleg, not skinny, which makes them look ruched when tucked inside the booties. Her ankle boots are, next to the shirt, the key piece for this chilly day outfit. You will need to find a pair of suede boots that should be fur-lined (fake fur, please!) and have a rustic look, or go for something slightly more high-end. Emma’s only accessory is a classic headband in tortoise color.
