How can I make my Polaris Ranger 570 faster?

We’ve raised the bar when it comes to what you should expect from a fuel tuner. Power Vision’s easy-to-read, no-nonsense display puts performance at your fingertips, empowering you to choose from our vast library of pre-tested tunes or to build one yourself. The Power Vision fuel tuner updates the tables directly within the ECU to optimize the air/fuel ratio, keeping you in sync and in control. When you’re back in the garage, your performance data can then be clearly seen using our Power Core software to help you improve your ride. The Power Vision device holds multiple tunes at once and allows you to optimize your ride for power, speed or fuel-efficiency. After you’ve flashed your ECU, you can either unplug the device or head out with Power Vision attached as an extra instrument panel. Power Vision easily connects through the OEM-style connectors, so installation won’t keep you away for long.

I just want to see a video or something of this so called 83mph out of an otherwise stock 570. That almost sounds ridiculous. A single cylinder engine in a 1300 lb machine, having enough torque and hp to push 80+ mph just from a new tune? That is 30 more mph top speed than my 570 will do stock. It's like putting a programmer on a gas engine truck....you only get a few extra hp, but eliminating torque and abuse management, and also messing with shift points, is what wakes it up. But it's still not crazy significant like claims of adding 30 extra mph top speed to something that will only run 53 mph in the first place.

If it's true, it's true....but I'd like to see proof. When I do a top speed run in my 570, it will remain on 53mph at 6950 rpms. Can someone explain how you are able to reach 83 mph after a tune, especially claiming no clutchwork needed. Does the engine now turn 9k or 10k rpms to reach the 83mph? Haha. Just doesn't add up to me.

Could a single cylinder engine be built to run 83mph in a 1300 lb machine? Yes. But can something as simple as a new tune in this stock engine make that happen without any further modifications to cam, compression, etc? I'm not convinced.

The factory ecm has a rev limiter programmed into the ecm. They can do this because the are drive by wire and do not have a throttle cable. So the ecm limits the throttle once the speed limiter of 50 mph is reached. RSV told me a realistic real world number for top speed is 70-75 mpg but that reports of the one they did for some utv race claiming 83mph was the top speed. Again i am not affiliated with RSV i am simply stating what the owner said when i called inquiring about a clutch kit. He said in stock configuration the ecm limits the throttle and that it will not run 100% open throttle on the stock tune ever, so in his words i haven't ever experienced my machine at wide open throttle because of the stock ecm.

Or make sure they didn't try to get tricky and disconect the wire harness for the seat belt behind the seat.

And I was test driving a 2016 Ranger XP570 the other day and rev limiter was kicking in even though I had my seatbelt on?! We figured out that the middle seat belt had to be fastened - that took care of it and the little seat belt icon on the dash went out.

It appears that if that icon is on - the rev limiter will be in effect.

I have a 2016 FS and the Rev limiter kicks in at 10-15 mph when driver SB is not connected. There are 3 simple opinions to overcome the interlock. Attach sezt belt but then it hits you in the back and you have to loosen bolt and lay it over. Secondly purchase a jumper ($18) from your dealer and plug in molded connection under seat. I opted for making my own jumper from a piece of copper I stripped out of a scarp piece of coax cable. The diameter fit perfect in existing molded plug. I then got tie wrap and secured to a bracket under the seat. I so taped up the open end of the female end of the seat belt wiring connector to prevent particulates contaminating connector. Good luck and throttle up.

speed limiter

This is an older thread, but still rings true. I am a new owner to the Ranger and thought it was going to have to go into the shop, put my seat belt on and suddenly could go faster than 15 miles per hour. Thank you

New 2019 Ranger XP 900... on level road speed settles out at 50 mph if gas pedal put to the floor. Can briefly exceed this but will always settle back to 50...

How fast will a 570 Polaris Ranger go?

Depending on the model year, you can expect to hit 40-50 MPH in a stock Polaris Ranger Mid-Size 570. If, however, you use an aftermarket ECU flash to remove the speed limiter, it becomes possible to move the Ranger Mid-Size 570 to speeds in excess of 60 MPH.

How do you remove a Polaris speed limiter?

Vehicle Speed Limits - If you want to remove the limiter in any gear just select the entire table and input a value that is a higher MPH then the vehicle can reach.
