How do I put a video from my camera roll onto a stitch on TikTok?

How do I put a video from my camera roll onto a stitch on TikTok?

  • To stitch on TikTok, find a video and tap the Share icon, then select Stitch.
  • Stitching lets you take part of someone else's TikTok video and use it in your own video.
  • Not all TikTok videos will have Stitch enabled, and you can choose whether to enable it for your own video.

TikTok is built on collaboration. Nearly every video uses music picked from a list, every day there's a new trend — that's not even mentioning the wildly popular Duet feature, which lets you virtually star in someone else's video.

If you're looking for more ways to collaborate with other TikTok users, check out the Stitch feature. Stitching lets you trim a clip from someone else's video and then use it at the start of yours. It's great for reaction videos, where you post your response to another video you've seen.

Here's how to stitch a video on TikTok.

You can turn Stitch on or off for each of your videos:
You can turn Stitch off or on before you post a video, or for an existing video.

•  If you turn Stitch off: Others can't Stitch with your video.

Things to know when you allow others to Stitch with your video:
•  That person's privacy settings will determine who can watch, comment on, download, or interact with the Stitched video.
•  The Stitched video will only appear on the profile of the person who recorded the Stitch. Your original video will only appear on your profile page.
•  If you allow others to Stitch with your videos but then change your settings to limit who can use your videos or delete your video, any existing Stitches that have already been made will remain on TikTok. If you have any questions or concerns, you can report the video.
