Why does my character have red eyes in Elden Ring?

If your character suddenly has red eyes in Elden Ring, you’ve probably mugged other players lately.

Elden Ring players get red eyes after becoming a Knight of Mohg and receiving the Bloody Finger from White-Faced Varre in Rose Church.

If you want To get red eyes, just go to the Church of the Roses and complete Varre’s quest line.

Why does my character have golden eyes in Elden Ring?

If your eyes suddenly turn yellow or gold in Elden Ring, it has to do with your recent dragon-related deeds. Your character’s eyes will turn yellow after eating a number of Dragon Hearts.

They will also change when you go to the Church of the Communion of Dragons and exchange hearts for the powerful dragon magic of Elden Ring!

How to Remove Red or Yellow/Gold Eyes in Elden Ring

• To get rid of red or gold eyes in Elden Ring, simply fast travel to Roundtable Hold (the hub world location in the bottom left of your map).
• Once there, go to Fia’s room and interact with her mirror.
• Using the vanity, choose Detailed Appearance > Modify Face and Hair.
• Then turn Eye Swap to Off.
• Just like that, you’ll have your normal eye image back in Elden Ring!

Is it because I joined Mohg to do invasions? Can you get other eye colors, I'm really curious.

You get red eyes as soon as you give your finger to Varre.

You can also get golden eyes later through some late game steps involving Miquella's Needle.
