I see there is a "make a toast" task during weddings, but I can't figure out how to make a toast? I have been clicking on drinks and on newly wed Sims, but haven't noticed that option.

Yes, but it's still one of the hardest things to do in the game. It was a lot easier in former sims games. I hope it gets better. I really loved the interaction at weddings,both in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.

Yes I'm hoping we'll get the toasting champagne bottle back from TS2 and toasting will be added when sitting at tables. The champagne bottle has been mentioned in a sims 4 survey were it says sims toast in the new year. I know that's what it means. Probebly that will be a premium object.

You don't need to throw parties. I had my sims toast while sitting on a pools edge.

Do both sims need to be drinking some drink and then one clicks the others friendly category and makes a toast?

I've thrown a toast before, but the last two parties i've had the option as not been there this was after the latest patch.

The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories Game Pack brought a lot of new, exciting features. Players can now plan a total of seven wedding events in The Sims 4; Beach Party, Reception, Rehearsal Dinner, Engagement Dinner, Family Gathering, Wedding Ceremony, and Vows Renewal.

Planning a Wedding Rehearsal or Rehearsal Dinner isn't expensive at all. It costs around $100 (which is considered cheap). So even players trying to complete the Making Money Scenario can do it. This wedding event allows players to invite family and friends to a dinner party. The goal is to practice for the upcoming wedding.

How To Set Up A Wedding Rehearsal In The Sims 4

There are two ways to plan a Wedding Rehearsal (Rehearsal Dinner); using the phone or a calendar. After picking everything on the phone, the event will start immediately, whereas the calendar is more flexible.

Players can choose a specific day and then Add a Wedding Event. Look for Rehearsal Dinner on the list and click on it. Depending on the date and time they picked, the event will begin. But first, Simmers needs to complete a few steps before doing anything else. These steps are: invite Sims, select activities, and select a place.

There are only two categories to fill in this step; host and guests. Unlike other wedding-related events, this one doesn't require players to hire an entertainer or a mixologist. The engaged couple is the host. As for guests, they need to invite a minimum of two Sims or the party won't start.

Entertainers and mixologists can be hired in other ways. If Simmers own a bar, they can click on it and hire a mixologist. As for the entertainer, pressing on a piano, guitar, violin, and microphone will allow players to hire a Sim with the high skills needed to come to the current Lot.

Select Activities

There are six activities in total to choose from. Players can pick one, two, or all six. It depends on their preferences and how they want the event to be.

The available activities for Rehearsal Dinner are:

Desserts: If players buy a Banquet from Buy Mode, they can select one of the desserts and then Call to Meal.
Drinks: Clicking on a bar will allow players to order drinks for themselves or the whole group.
Tea: Buy the Double Happiness Tea Set or Just a Spot of Tea, Tea Set from Buy Mode, then click on it to make tea. There are many kinds of teas to choose from. Once it's done, pour it and grab a cup and give it to any Sim.
Dancing: Click on a dance floor or a turned-on stereo to dance. Players can also gather guests and tell them to dance.
Have Toasts: The Toasting Celebrating Bucket from Buy Mode allows Simmers to make a toast or have another Sim make one.
Celebration Feast: The Wooden Banquet or The Gravy Fountain from Buy Mode will let players buy different kinds of foods for $250. Press on one of them and Call to Meal.

There are many options to choose from, like nightclubs, lounges, museums, parks, pools, wedding venues, and so on. If Simmers wish to keep it simple, they can choose their house Lot as the location for the Wedding/Dinner Rehearsal. Players will have to buy the aforementioned items from Build Mode to complete the event.

Once Simmers are done with choosing the location, they need to pick the time. Keep in mind that from 12 AM to 5 AM is considered late in The Sims 4. So even though guests will appear, they'll leave immediately and players can't call them to come back as they'll be sleeping.

The calendar will remind players of the event one hour before it starts. If Simmers wish to change anything about the event, they can select the Edit Event option from the calendar.

The toasting celebration bucket can be added to any surface, including the barrel seen here, and allows Sims to grab a drink and make a speech or propose a toast. If you've added either of these activities to your day then you'll need this item to complete them.
