How long is a flight to Houston to New York?

Cons: "The connecting flight was delayed multiple times and then gate switched and plane switched. We waited in airport for 8 hrs instead of 4. The trip should have ended at 10pm but we end up getting home tired and spent at 2am for a wasted Friday. This flught is the shortest and yet always seems to have pushbacks and delays. Next time im driving to SA and never flying between SA and another Texan city. Flights didnt offer any drinks or snacks, or apologies or vouchers after the huge inconvenience."

Pros: "The lead flight attendant had a good sense of humor and the pilot asked the flight attendants to move to the side so he could see out the back...not hilarious, but funny and appreciated."

Cons: "Nothing, all was good."

Cons: "I was supposed to go to a wedding in Chicago, and leave on thursday. They cancelled my thursday flight and did not get me to Chicago until Saturday, so I missed the wedding. They strung the whole thing out by scheduling me on new flights, only to cancel those later. Total mess!"

We couldn't all get exit row, which is important to my husband who is over 6' tall, in spite of this which I find totally obnoxious. This was due to a woman who boarded outside of her group (she was C!), who boarded with her friend who had A1, and saved a seat for her daughter. The Southwest system is completely unfair unless two things happen: 1) people are not allowed to board outside their group and 2) IMPORTANTLY NO RESERVING seats. We have noticed that the trend seems to be pay for one person in a party to have early bird, and then reserve a seat. This is shitty."

My total travel time with two flights is almost 6 hours. I always start to crave the protein boxes or healthy food options American Airlines sells on their flights. SW should sell food. They would profit."

Pros: "SWA is awesome! Courteous flight crew. Pop quiz to the people in the exit row before departure, made them think (what do you do if you look out your window and see fire?). Got their attention and reminded them of the seriousness of them accepting the responsibility of sitting there."

Cons: "Construction at the Boston airport caused a delay on the return flight, not able to handle all the flights with one of the runways torn up. Southwest shifted the departure and still made it a good flight with an almost on time arrival in Houston."

Pros: "The flight crew was great, cheeky but they drew in some laughs Tom make the flight very easy. Love that Hou to Den is only a short 2.5 hours, flight was easy and the plane was very clean. Quite surprised at how well maintained the plane was. Great job Southwest, you really do tackle the competitor and not your guests."

Cons: "This was nothing against the company but, more on their passengers. People when your seated in the very back don't cut off the entire front and middle of the plane just so you can get off first!"

Cons: "LGA is just the worst! We were delayed and it's impossible to get in and out of the airport. Cabins are dated and feel spartan. Not having assigned seats is archaic and stressful. People don't actually follow the rules, and it makes the flight feel more like flying on a bus. The staff at midway was strangely rude and dismissive when asked about upgrading my boarding position."

This flight was excellent. Left and arrives ahead of schedule. The plane was only half full and they actually let people lay down in rows of empty seats. The crew was super kind to a large family with a bunch of kids who wanted to be closer together. I think Delta purposely avoids turbulence more than other airlines because I never experience jarring flights, even the red eyes. They served two meals onboard (which were honestly pretty gross but they are doing their best). Also the newer planes have really cool lighting that helps with jet lag because they mimic the sunset and sunrise colors, and have polarized windows that extend “night time” until they are ready to land in the morning. Pretty cool.

Called Kayak, you guys said you couldn’t do anything. Finally I got some 3rd party phone number I was given by Kayak. I called the number and it was not in service. In all my years using this app this was the biggest disappointment ever!!!!"

Cons: "I wouldn't rate this flight on a five-star grid--I give it 0.0 stars. Delta's economy seats are so tiny that even a small person like myself finds it agonizing to ride in them for a moderate-length flight. We need aggressive regulation of our airlines to prevent the unconscionable and humiliating way they treat economy passengers. It's not safe, healthy or humane to ask human beings to sit for hours in tiny spaces with very little air (on top of everything else, the plane was mercilessly hot the whole time). Next time I will choose a European carrier--even the discount Euro carriers are better than any US airline."

I mention this only because this was the only glitch during the rest of the flight. Loved the wide variety of entertainment available inflight, the AC outlets on EVERY row, and though I didn't need it this time, the availability of Wi-Fi Internet is appreciated. And though we left 40 minutes late, we made up part of the time and arrived only 20 min later than scheduled. Bravo Delta! I'll have to check out your version of Mileage Plus."

One of the flight attendents was more bossy I felt than necessary. She told me not to put my backpack in the overhead bin, even though there was enough space and the back 3rd of the aircraft was half empty (I was in the last loading zone so there weren't many more people after me)."

I kindly asked the flight attendant if I can take empty seat across the aisle from me and was told no without a reason. I thought we were doing social distance ,but apparently not. As for there earlier claim of no 3 seats available next to each other .. it was obviously a lie because the seats just across from me where empty. I hope not to fly on American Airlines again."

The flight was on time. Zero issues. All of the crew had great senses of humor which made the flight entertaining. Non-stop, baby. Doesn’t get any better than this!

Cons: "The seats are pretty uncomfortable. They are so close together and there is no room to store anything. The tray tables are a joke, you can't even fit an iPad on them. The bag check process was trouble at both legs. They have lower weight limits than the major carriers and that really should be highlighted better when you book with Allegiant. Also, bag checkin for the flight I was on started at 7:45am. There were only 2 people at the checkin counter and one of them was busy doing something and ignoring the customers. So that was a little annoying."

Cons: "I bought a flight that I had to end up cancelling - when I called to cancel - within the 24 hour period, they would not let me cancel despite text on my confirmation saying that there would be a free cancellation within the 24 hours. Extremely annoyed that there was a blatant miscommunication. I did not end up going on the flight but was unable to get a refund which seems ridiculous given that there was text on the website explicitly saying this was their policy."

Pros: "Smaller airports make travel easier, and more relaxed. No frills--to get even water on the flight you'll pay for a bottle. Personnel all tend to be friendly and helpful. With Allegiant I've learned to pack lightly and plan travel carefully. It's been worth it as I have been able to see friends and family more often. We even took an impromptu vacation this year when we found a great deal on airfare."

The flight didn't have wifi which is unfortunate and the flight attendants were ok; they did try to help when my 18 month old son was screaming endlessly because he was exhausted after being in the airport since 9:30am for a flight for an a 11:08am that was supposed to land in NY by 5pm and didn't land until 7:30pm."

They said it was because of inclement weather but actually the weather was very good in both departure and arrival cities. They also stated that many airlines canceled their flights on that day because of same reason, but we checked and found it was not the truth. NO COMPENSATION. NOBODY HELPED THEIR VALUED CUSTOMER TO FIND ANOTHER FLIGHT. WE DID ALL BY OURSELVES."

Also upon check-in, I was led to believe that I could only choose a seat for a $10-$20 surcharge. It was NOT CLEAR that if I allowed random seat selection I could avoid this surcharge. SHAME ON YOU for HIDDEN COSTS."

Cons: "My biggest complaint is the lack of communication. Upon booking they do not make you aware that you have to pay extra to bring luggage of any kind. This added $60 to my trip, making the flight no longer "low cost" also I was sitting in the back of the plane and the bathrooms were emitting a sewage smell during the whole flight. We were also delayed for over an hour both ways once sitting on the plane and there was no explanation as to why. I would never consider taking this airline again."

Cons: "The seats were very uncomfortable, there was no entertainment, you have to pay $40 for carry on luggage. The flight got delayed 3 hours, the staff was rude to the passengers. We had to take a detour to Philadelphia instead of NY to refuel, which took an extra hour and a half. They gave us no snacks/vouchers in the mean time. We ended up arriving at 10pm instead of the original arrival time of 4pm."

Cons: "The flight came in 2 and a half hours late, supposedly due to a computer glitch in colorado. We then had to stop in Philadelphia to refuel for hours and ended up at Laguardia close to 6 hours late! During that time a no point did the crew offer the passengers any snacks or even water. Not even to the children. They actually made people who couldn't hold any longer pay for snacks and drinks! The pilot then had a tantrum and refused to leave until a dissatisfied passenger was removed. Classy... Also, they make you pay for carry-on. Quite a lot. Smallest seats I have ever been in. Avoid this airline!!!"

I had checked the status that night when I checked in and early in the morning and the system said that the flight was on time. It wasnt until I reached the airport and the lady behind the baggage counter told me that the flight was delayed for two hours. I went to go eat with my daughter at the Chilis restaraunt. I figired since the flight was delayed why not have some lunch and head to the plane an hour before take off time. I left the restarant and went through screening. One of the TSA memebers asked me why was I going in so early when the flight was on delayed. I let them know that the flight was suppose to be taken off in an hour so they let me through. As I'm walking through the terminla they have someone walking bu asking if anyone was getting on the frontier flight. I told them that I was on that flight and they told me I needed to hurry up because the plane was about to leave. I became nervous ans started running down the gate to make it to the plane. I'm running with a two year old so Im pretty sure that you can only imagine how difficult that was. Once I reached the gate I was out of breath and it was suppose to be eight minutes before we took off. However we sat on the plane for about another thirty minutes before we left. I feel as though the communication with the airline is not there 100% and if you are sitting in an airport you should be able to hear the update especially when they are not planned ir taking place at a time that is different from what was already relayed."

Weather has lot to do with it. But number of factors contributed. Boarding was delayed as we missed our a lot and took of later on top of already late flight. Then. Things just went south. The Staff were very counties and helpful and did their best."

Cons: "There was no indication received that Frontier required a check in of 45 minutes ahead of the flight time. And even though I was 2 minutes shy of that time, Frontier crew still did not allow me to check in. RIDICULOUS!!! No other airline has this bogus requirement. In addition, Frontier doesn't give an option for rebooking for another day, which may require an additional fee (as other airlines do). The only remedy for missing a flight is moving to Frontier's next scheduled flight (that is, the next day for a trip from Atlanta because Frontier only has one flight leaving Atlanta per day). Of course, this didn't work for me because I needed to be in New York on the day of my scheduled flight. $200 DOLLARS GONE!! In conclusion, I will never book another trip with Frontier. Also, I will never use another source to acquire a ticket because that source may not provide me with certain requirements for the airlines it sells for."
