Home installations online

Can I get my installation and delivery done on the same day?

When buying an installation online, your delivery and installation will be on separate days. For product updates please review your job tracker here or contact the store on your order confirmation email. You can also use the job tracker to request a change to the scheduled date. Prior to installation your installer will contact you to confirm your product is onsite ready for installation.

Can I purchase an installation for my rental/ family/ friends property online?

Yes you can, just ensure when you check out in the cart with the installation it is your preferred delivery address.

After I have purchased an installation, what happens next?

You will receive a confirmation email from The Good Guys Home Services. This will include your job number which you can now log into your job tracker page that allows you to:

  • Change install date
  • Contact your installer through messages
  • Find your installer's name and Phone number
  • Once your installation has been completed your certificates of compliance will also be in here if required

My installer advised me in a call before my installation, or while onsite that my installation will be more expensive. Why does this occur and what do I need to do?

Each job is different and while the vast majority of installations can be completed within the stated price and scope (as recorded in your confirmation). Some jobs however, require us to vary the scope to meet your requirements or manage site specific variations. Where that occurs, your installer will notify you in advance and will not proceed without your prior approval and payment. We try to identify any variations as early as possible so there’s no surprises. To make payment for these charges you will receive an email or SMS with a secure payment link.

I have purchased an installation how do I move my date?

There are two ways you can change your installation date.

  • Log in to your job tracker page here and update the date you need to change it to and the installer will confirm this date by calling you.
  • Your installers phone number is available on the job tracker page and you can simply call them.

I have not heard from my installer for my installation what should I do?

Try calling the installer directly and if that has not been successful call the home installation team on 1300 748 190 and they will assist further.

I am not going to be home the date of the installation what should I do?

These things do happen, but we do need 24hrs notice or you may have to pay a revisit fee, simply call your installer directly and let them know.

I added an installation to my cart and checked out but have not heard anything?

There can be a delay in the processing of your online installation, and these are processed 7 days a week between 9am to 6pm.

Your home installation can go ahead as planned.

Before your scheduled Service:

Prior to the installer arriving to installation location, please ensure that the area is clear, and safe for the works to take place We do ask that any pets are not in the area where the works will be taking place.

When your service provider arrives:

Prior to commencement, your installer will perform an onsite inspection and confirm with you the job requirements. Any additional charges will be explained to you and, if required, a secure payment link will be sent to you for approval and payment prior to commencement.

Exciting news! In June 2019 The Good Guys Home Services system platform was upgraded – making it easier for customers to manage their service and installations bookings. The old system platform has now been closed down.

I was in the middle of a job when the system platform upgraded in June 2019 – what do I do?

In most cases you will not need to do anything – as we will automatically switch you to the new system platform! To access your existing booking head to your JOB TRACKER, and be sure to have your Work Order Number and registered Mobile handy to log in!

I want to access the new Job Tracker but where do I find my Work Order Number?

If you received confirmation after June 24th via email or text, then you should find your Work Order number there. If you can’t find it, no worries! Just email your details to and we’ll help you access the new JOB TRACKER.

My job was completed prior to June 24th 2019 and I wanted to keep a record of what was on the old system platform – how can I get this information?

If you require access to the information stored on the old system (ie: a service or installation purchased prior to June 24th 2019), please email your request with you reservation ID and details to .
