Though “Dear John” and “Style” are contenders, perhaps none of the songs she’s written about her “long list of ex-lovers” are quite as famous and beloved as “All Too Well,” which chronicles her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal. For the past few years, though, Swift has been in a committed relationship with actor Joe Alwyn. The pair met at the Met Gala in 2016, and since then, they’ve kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight – possibly because Swift’s past relationships have been the subject of so much scrutiny over the years. Swift explained why she doesn’t talk about her relationship with Alwyn much in a 2019 interview with The Guardian. “I’ve learned that if I do, people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion,” she said. “If you and I were having a glass of wine right now, we’d be talking about it. But it’s just that it goes out into the world. That’s where the boundary is, and that’s where my life has become manageable. I really want to keep it feeling manageable.” Still, she’s let the public in on some parts of their relationship. As always, music has been a part of their love, with Alwyn appearing as a cowriter under the pseudonym William Bowery on her albums “Folklore” and “Evermore.” Per NME, he also reportedly appears again as a cowriter on Swift’s forthcoming “Midnights,” out Oct. 21. Taylor Swift celebrated her successful “Saturday Night Live” gig by partying with some of her closest friends – exes included. After performing a 10-minute version of “All Too Well” on the Studio 8H stage, the singer headed to an after party at New York City hotspot L’Avenue Saturday night. Swift, 31, looked casually cool in a houndstooth coat over an all-black ensemble, completing her look with a bright red manicure. She was joined at the party by one of her most famous ex-boyfriends, Joe Jonas, who stopped by with his wife, Sophie Turner. Swift and Jonas, 32, briefly dated in 2008. They have become friendly again in recent years after Swift apologized for putting Jonas “on blast” for dumping her over the phone when she was 18 years old. Others at the party included Swift’s BFF Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, along with actress Sadie Sink, who portrays a younger version of Swift in the newly released “All Too Well” short film. Lively, 34, opted for a sexy cutout bodycon dress and matching heels, while Reynolds, 45, wore a black jacket, dress pants and a tie. Noticeably absent from the soirée was Swift’s boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. The actor, 30, is currently away in Panama filming a new project. Earlier on Saturday, Swift took to TikTok to reveal that she had reunited with longtime bestie Selena Gomez backstage at “SNL” ahead of the show. In the cute viral clip, Swift referred to Gomez as a “bad b–ch,” while the “Love Song” singer giggled excitedly. As if the excitement of her new “Red (Taylor’s Version)” album, the “All Too Well” short film and an appearance on “SNL wasn’t enough, Swift also revealed that she had one more surprise for fans over the weekend — a music video for her previously unreleased track “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version).” Swift collaborated with Lively for the video, which will mark the “Gossip Girl” star’s directorial debut.
