Otherwise, for all intents and purposes, you're building a new system. New MB = new CPU = new RAM, so factor all that into your pricing. Joined Apr 12, 2015 · 35 Posts

From my little research, it looks like it's a ESC G41T-M7, and i belive it's the same socket as yours. Joined Oct 21, 2009 · 4,800 Posts

as your current intel board but its newer and supports the quadcore cpus. The i3, i5, i7 cpus are on a different socket called LGA 1155 and 1150, you'll have to buy a new board if you want an i3. Joined Jan 11, 2011 · 813 Posts
I dont know about India, but here in the states the old 775 CPU selling dirt cheap. Like I have 2 and its barely worth selling them at all...If you could snag an old 775 Quad core, it would be a inexpensive upgrade. Q6XXX, Q8XXX or Q9XXX. Just be aware that G41 motherboard wont overclock much, at all. Joined Apr 12, 2015 · 35 Posts

Replace
the board's cmos battery, you got that board from a friend so its at least a couple of years old. Joined Apr 12, 2015 · 35 Posts Can we upgrade from dual core to i3?Yes. The i3–5005u is a Broadwell CPU, a dual-core with Hyper-Threading technology, which means it can handle four simultaneous threads. The Pentium T4400 is a regular dual-core with no HT, capable of processing just two simultaneous threads. It comes from the “Penryn” generation of CPU's.
Can we upgrade dual core processor? You'd need a completely different motherboard, and laptop motherboards are not designed to be interchangeable . No, sadly you can't. Some laptops can have their processors upgraded, but not many, and that's not even considering the fact that a C2 series CPU is not interchangeable with any i-series ones.
Is dual core processor better than i3?its 3rd generation processor. Dual core is old processor. Intel i3 is latest processor. Dual core is second generation processor and i3 is third generation processor it provide more speed & process than dual core.
Can I add i3 processor to laptop?... can i upgrade my processor from i3 to i5 ? ... - You cannot change the processor because it is soldered to the motherboard.
