Our favorite thing to do is watch shows and movies so when we’re not visiting one another, we FaceTime and watch “together”. We count off the time and pause it until we both have it synced up. We both get our snacks and start yapping away at shows or stay silent most of the time for movies (we’re talkers during tv/movies). We haven’t read books to each other lately since she was in school; she just graduated. We’re planning on closing the gap in August. Just wanted to share our little nights with you and see if anyone else does that. Thanks for reading.

Look up apps related to= Rabbit or Watch2gether they're free as I remember . But common sense would tell you all who can watch must have a subscription to the stream. My favorite is Twoseven not only does it support the popular streams Netflix,Vimeo, YouTube like 🐰 & ⌚ 2gether but also private or local music /movies etc. Syncplay is all local but supports many popular players like MPV-VLC and platforms Mac-OS ,Windows, Linux, etc. I also found one a few months back for a movie release maybe AMC group party I think? how many your inviting that sets the price you pay for them and their 🎟️ or 🔐 is left for your compadres like (will call), welli hope that helps. Someone asked which case (situation) would someone need this service. My family brother nephews and uncle's are all Communication Techs sometimes spread across the lower 48 my son's in Alaska right this moment . Power point- meetings and sometimes just to feel like your close to home catching up on a new shows/movie night and I don't think 🤔 would include P@#&*hub but yes that would work too! Manacio's!! 😂

Hi, do any of you guys know if there's any app which lets you watch films/series together on netflix (with the video synchronized) and videocall at the same time? I've tried simply using facetime and netflix while pressing play at the same time but it doesn't work that well if there's any pauses and also facetime always has a way louder sound than the movie so if we wanna talk over the movie it's really loud. Any of you have any advice on this?

Works with a bunch of services including Netflix. If you both have a film/video as a file locally on your computer, you can watch that too and sync it up. And each participant can share their video/webcam feed and mic so you can see and chat to each other too!

There's a text chat pane so that you can text each other while the movie is playing without having to use the mic as that would cause disruption and feedback.

And it's way better than screen sharing as the video is playing directly on your computer so no latency or audio/video sync issues.

The website can occasionally be buggy but a refresh usually fixes it and I find it better than a few of the other alternatives suggested that I've tried.

I was wondering what screen sharing platform is the best? For example screen sharing on FaceTime is pretty laggy, discord works fine sometimes. There’s some websites that let anyone with the control have control of the screen but it’s really laggy. I’m not sure what to use, is zoom any better than discord? Is there anyway to watch Disney, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc in the easiest way possible? Help

I just got a new 11inch ipad pro 2018 as a replacement for my 2011 macbook pro. One of the things Im hoping to do is watch netflix (or other platforms) with my long-distance friend!

I'm hoping to be able to watch with them while also facetiming buuuut im not entirely sure how to implement this on an ipad/if its worth it/if its possible.

Open to alternative solutions!

Note: I didnt get the ipad to do this specifically I got it mostly for drawing and a general computing replacement but am curious about what else it can do.

With a lot of family and friends self-quarantining and using a lot more Netflix and other streaming services, I thought it would be nice to be able to watch a show or movie with a group and video/text chat at the same time. Aside from just pulling up Skype or FaceTime and trying to get everyone to sync up the movie/show right, is there any other extension, app, or program I could use with my friends/family.
