Girlfriend and I are going to Vegas for spring break, were staying 3 and a half days, and need something memorable to do! Show My parents recommended “O” by Cirque du Soleil and we looked it up and it seems pretty interesting, only catch is that it would be $400 for us to go to the show. I’m interested, and it looks cool, but idk if it’s worth blowing $400 on when we could do like three other things down there with that money. So is the show worth the money? If not, what else should we use the $400 for instead? (Already have a gambling budget set aside, looking to have cool experiences and make memories) Cirque du Soleil --- "O" Worth $100???Mar 18th, 1999, 07:46 PMCirque du Soleil --- "O" Worth $100??? Who has seen this show? The pictures on the Cirque du Soleil website look kind of strange. Is this show as fantastic as everyone says and is it worth the time and the $200 for my husband and I to go? Would love to hear some opinions. Thanks. Mar 19th, 1999, 05:56 AM Definitely worth that and more. Anytime My brother-in-law and his wife went to see "O". Afterwards, they said it was great and they didn't complain about the price, so I guess they felt it was worth it. But geez -- $100 a ticket for a Las Vegas show? I don't know if I could bring myself to do it. Mar 19th, 1999, 01:44 PMIMHO Its worth EVERY cent!!! The best show we have seen in Vegas,,If you havent seen a Cirque du Soleil show before, you wont believe your eyes at times.. A must see!!!!!! Mar 19th, 1999, 02:05 PMHave watched Cirque de Sole on the television (Bravo station) many times. Saw it in person in Chicago and YES, it is worth it. There is nothing like it - not even close!!! Spend the money to see the show and check out your TV Guide every week to see if it is on to tape. Mar 19th, 1999, 08:25 PM We saw the show in Vegas last winter. It was fabulous! We got tickets over the phone from home. Luckily the operator suggested not taking front row, we sat about the 15th row on the end of the aisle. We had a great view, as the show is going on in the air, the aisle and all over the stage. Do yourselves a favor and go.
My husband & I saw "O" last month and thought it was worth the money. We has front row balcony seats and enjoyed the view. However, we had to lean forward the whole time to see over the railing. The show is different than anything I've ever seen. I definitely recommend it. Mar 23rd, 1999, 01:30 PMMy husband & I saw "O" last month and thought it was worth the money. We saw it the end of Feb. & preferred "Mystere" (also a Cirque du Soleil presentation, $70 @ Treasure Island). They are both wonderful, but our group of 3 agreed that Mystere would be our choice. Have a great time! Mar 24th, 1999, 06:50 PMyes the show is great! If you have not seen a Cirque De Soleil Show I would recomend "Mystere" first. "O" is great but if you are not into art for arts' sake you may miss the point. We preffered Mystere but were glad to see "O". If you pinch pennys as a hobby, stick with the free or $20. shows. You really can't put a price on a show like these. They are fantastic! Mar 24th, 1999, 08:18 PM Thank you everyone for your responses!!
Kristin, You will not be disappointed with "Mystere". It was great.
