I tried Sparing, Talking, and Fleeing, but nothing worked. Am I missing something? Download Article Download Article Have you gotten to the Toriel boss fight, but don't know how to beat her? Did this article help you?Can you get true pacifist after killing Toriel?You can't do a true pacifist route on your first playthrough anyways so it wouldn't effect anything. But if you reset it after she died it shouldn't effect anything. I did the same thing as you.
Do you have to kill Toriel for genocide?You will need to kill 20 creatures as well as Toriel to meet the criteria for a genocide run in this section. Once you leave this room via the path and door to the right you will see a single flower in a spot of light.
How many times do you spare Toriel?If you have played the game before, and started by killing Toriel, you will need to select "Act", then "Talk." If you have played the game before 11 times, she will not hurt you at all, sending out a completely harmless attack. If you've played 12, and spared her all 12 times, she will not attack at all.
Can you have mercy on Toriel?By using this tactic, Toriel can be defeated without ever using the MERCY option. The seemingly unusual change in the flavor text for Talk actually makes sense in Toriel's battle. While missing intentionally may not exactly be fighting, the FIGHT option can be used to progress the battle towards a peaceful conclusion.
