La roche posay toleriane purifying foaming cleanser reddit

Funny, I also got downvoted once when this exact same question was asked on this sub and also simply replied that it's not available. Actually one person mixed up Effaclar cleanser with the Toleriane cleanser and replied that it actually was available and got upvotes for that LOL.

My guess is that there are some weird people on this sub that haven't really grasped the concept of reddit karma and just downvote anything they don't like, even if it's just factual info.

I recently posted on a thread about some Avene product being discontinued (saying just that) and after that what seems to be one person downvoted every single reply I did on that thread.

I guess one should always keep in mind that literally anyone can make a reddit account so I try not to take unreasonable downvotes personally but, like you, I get annoyed by them too.

I (F16) don't have particularly dry or oily skin. It sits in-between, though if I do get a bit oily, it occurs around my T-zone. I don't have terrible acne, just a few pimples on my cheeks (near my nose), forehead and chin. I would like to clear that up, along with some of the blemishes I have gotten. I would also like to achieve smoother skin around these areas as well.

I have read reviews on the three cleansers I am looking between, and they all have positive reviews. I am looking at the Toleriane range, because I have slightly sensitive skin. Anything harsh will cause my skin to go really red, and possibly get worse acne.

I only got acne towards the end of last year, somewhere in December. I eat healthily, I workout and I currently cleanse with skin with a gentle A'kin cream cleanser and an A'kin day and night moisturiser. I use these daily, cleansing and moisturising my skin both day and night. I wear sunscreen daily, using the Hamilton SPF 50+ Everyday Face Cream.

I would normally be better at choosing between cleansers, though they all seem so similar and this has confused me. Though I read that there are so many options because La Roche-Posay caters to many different skin conditions, which is completely understandable.

Here are the cleansers (I have included two links, one for Chemist Warehouse and the other for the La Roche-Posay official website):

Not only do I want to choose a cleanser from La Roche-Posay, I also want to choose a moisturiser. I have been looking between three. Two from the Toleriane range and one from the Effaclar range. With moisturisers, I have always gone for richer ones. I like to keep my skin hydrated, and it responds well to that.

I think I'll definitely choose the Effaclar moisturiser, as it is specifically for acne. Though I would like to choose another, so it's basically between two. They are similar, yet have different names. Again, leaving me confused.

Anyone that would be able to guide me, thank you. Have a lovely day!

I just got a new fave wash for the first time in years, apparently my Kheil’s calendula foaming cleanser has a surprisingly high pH and may have been damaging my moisture barrier.

But it’s always worked and my sensitive skin never reacted harshly to it. So I decided, having used La Roche before, to maybe switch it up and help my skin get rid of those few remaining cysts.

I’ve been using it for a week, and I’ve broken out horribly. I’m talking 6 new pimples in this week alone, which is unprecedented for my usual regime.

Here’s what I do.

AM

La Roche/Kiehl’s (prior) w/ a Clarisonic brush

TO Niacinamide serum

TO caffeine solution (under eyes)

TO Latic acid 10%

TO Natural moisturizer (winter time)

PM

La Roche/Kiehl’s w/ a Clarisonic brush

TO Niacinamide

TO caffeine solution

TO Azelaic acid suspension 10%

TO Natural moisturizer

That hasn’t broken me out horribly prior to the La Roche, but I did get some pimples every once an awhile like maybe one or two a week. I haven’t used my benz. peroxide because I felt it was damaging my moisture barrier far too much and started to have the opposite of the indented effect.
