Lincoln Medical Center, founded in 1839, is one of New York City’s premier acute care hospitals located in Downtown Bronx. Our facility has an inpatient capacity of 347 beds, with 60 beds allocated for our two Psychiatry Inpatient units. Our Trauma Center is the busiest in the northeast region and the third busiest in the country.

Our Psychiatry Program is an ACGME accredited, Residency Training Program. It provides fundamental clinical skills, didactic training and close mentorship to prepare trainees.

Our dedicated staff of attendings is academically-oriented and take great pride in mentoring and educating residents. Attending physicians have high expectations for the residents, and provides them with progressive clinical responsibilities during the four-year curriculum.

Residency at Lincoln Medical Center is not all about work. Our residents’ bond by working together as a team and as well during didactics and various social activities. We have planned lunch after Grand Rounds while discussing Case Conference and Journal Clubs. We have 2 Wellness Days where the residents are off work and plan an activity with their T-group leader. We also have a yearly Holiday Party in December, and our annual Graduation in June
