In June 2003, the Black Eyed Peas released hit song "Where Is the Love?" in response to the 9/11 terror attacks. Its lyrics addressed issues including terrorism, racism, gang crime, pollution, war, intolerance, and violence against LGBT people.

The Black Eyed Peas are back after a decade with a new album, but one member is missing. Singer Fergie is not on this latest project, and the group is explaining why.

Black-eyed peas (Vigna unguiculata) are a variety of the cowpea and are part of the family of beans & peas (Leguminosae or Fabaceae in the USA). Although called a pea, it is actually a bean. Both peas and beans are legumes, and both have edible seeds and pods.
