"Money in the Bank" is a hip hop single from Lil Scrappy's debut album Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live, featuring Young Buck. The video has cameo appearances including Lil Jon, Lloyd Banks, Chamillionaire, Project Pat, Spider Loc, T-Pain, David Banner, Nick Cannon, All Star Cashville Prince, Diamond, Princess of Crime Mob, Young Hot Rod, Katt Williams and Ike Dirty.

Background[edit]

Originally appeared on Young Buck's Mixtape, Case Dismissed!

XXL, as well as other media outlets, have mistakenly credited Lil' Jon as the producer of this song, most likely because he appears in the video and the beat sounds like a typical Lil' Jon beat. Also the beat is similar to a slower version of Lil' Jon's "Get Low."

MTV/MTV2 has aired a Making the Video episode for this single.

The single version of the song features the famous "I'm rich bitch!" quote from Dave Chappelle in the intro. This is not heard on the album version.

In 2009 R&B singer Amerie recorded the 'answer back' version. This version was released via her mixtape "Because I Love It - Volume 1". The answer back was later merged with the original to create a remix.

The song is featured in the game soundtrack for the wrestling video game WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007, in conjunction to the Money in the Bank ladder match featured in the game. It had been rumored that WWE would use the song as the official theme for their Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View in July 2010, but it has been confirmed that the theme used was "Money" by I Fight Dragons.

Young Buck, a rapper who featured in Lil’ Scrappy’s ‘Money In The Bank’ is asking fans to donate to his GoFundMe after becoming broke.

No longer screaming the opening words “I’m rich, bitch” to Lil’ Scrappy’s 2006 hit ‘Money In The Bank’, featuring artist Young Buck has revealed to his fans that he’s in need of an extra buck these days, as he has no ‘Money In The Bank.’

According to Hot New Hip Hop, the former G-Unit rapper filed for bankruptcy last month after claiming that notable rapper 50 Cent hasn’t kept up with paying him royalties.

In a new video, Young Buck expressed what’s going on, noting: “Listen up world, I just seen in the headlines what they were saying, I only got $100 in my pocket, I only got $100 worth of clothes, $100 worth of jewelry — shit like that. I figure now is the perfect time to go there and start a GoFundMe. Send me $1, that’s all I need. Just $1, man.”

Calling his new campaign ‘A Buck For Buck’, Young Buck also took to Instagram to ask his fans to send him a dollar via Cash App, where one fan noted “Damn to y’all who making fun of it, Buck been giving us tons of dope mixtape for years without asking for any money. (Unlike many rappers) it seems normal to help him back when he needs. If y’all was giving just 1$ instead of talking he would be back on track.”

Since the video of him asking for money emerged, Young Buck has clarified his statement to note that he’s starting a non-profit called Give2Get, which will help families amidst crisis.

“The donations that you guys sent, I used the donations to create a non-profit organisation by the name of Give2Get who will basically take these donations that you people are sending, and helping out families in mid-life crisis throughout the community.”

From this video, skepticism has risen, however, with one fan noting: “(sic) how proof them donations going back to help folks in ur community dont just say it . Them donations can be to pay for studio time for all I know.”
