My Hero Academia Season 5 Ending Explained

In My Hero Academia Season 5, Episode 25, The High, Deep Blue Sky, Hawks remain undercover with the League of Villains which now goes by the name Paranormal Liberation Front. They try to put the pieces together but there is one missing, the sponsor of Shigaraki, Dr. Ujiko, who performs various experiments on Shigaraki to give him the power of All For One.

UA Class A now has a showdown of the powers and skills they honed during their internships and as for Midoriya, All Might told him all about the quirks that the previous holders of the One For All had and how each of their quirks had been passed on from one to the other.

The UA Class A parties and the Paranormal Liberation Front put a halt to it as the students received a text message having them called for a joint operation.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Confirmed

Just as the finale episode of Season 5 aired, the first teaser of My Hero Academia Season 6 releases and it perfectly sets up what is in store for the next run of the anime. An exchange of thrilling lines between Midoriya and Sigaraki is featured along with some key visuals for the upcoming installment of the show which seems to be entering the Paranormal Liberation War arc from the manga series.

While it has been confirmed that there would be Season 6 for My Hero Academia, there is no definitive release date yet for the said installment of the show. Still, let's not rush anything as looking at the time between season 4 and season 5, there was a one-year gap in between the two and if and when the same thing happens for season 6, the earliest we could have the said run would be, at least, fall of 2022.

My Hero Academia Season 5 finale is now streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

My Hero Academia Season 5 last episode

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 25 Review- Plot and Characters

My Hero Academia Season 5 last episode

Finally, the My Hero Academia we all know and love is back to say hello a final time before the season ends. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the My Villain Academia arc as much as the next guy, and it absolutely saved Season 5 (to a degree), but that kind of storytelling isn’t why I started watching the show in the first place. Despite being a great arc, My Villain Academia was a definite departure from the show’s normal tone to a darker, more evil atmosphere.

I have always enjoyed My Hero Academia for its fantastic cast of young heroes thrust into a world that they barely understand yet have to learn how to protect. When they felt joyous or gloomy, we felt those emotions alongside them. We saw them grow and have adventures in front of our eyes, and we saw them evolve. You just can’t have this kind of connection with the villains since you are supposed to hate them, or at least their actions.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 25 gave us a lot of the things I mentioned above. We saw how much Class 1-A has grown through their work studies and how the bonds they share with each other and their teachers are still as strong as ever. It is always fantastic to watch whenever they interact with each other, something that has enhanced every arc in which Class 1-A has been involved together.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 25 also set up the next season of the show perfectly, with all the players of the next arc featured in some form or other. The students are gearing up, the villains have already taken their stances, and Hawks and Eri look set to play a huge part in whatever happens next season. Season 6 has already been announced, so it’s not a long time before we get to witness everything firsthand.

Deku has also been doing well in mastering his powers, all 10,234 of them. I kid, but his next objective is already in front of him. His journey is unique, and Horikoshi has already left himself quite the Chekhov’s Gun in the two users of One For All that we don’t know anything about. Deku’s interactions with Bakugo, Uraraka, and All Might were tremendous in My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 25, and when it’s on, My Hero Academia is the funniest anime around.

Overall, I loved how Season 5 of My Hero Academia ended, and the ending has done a lot to wash away the bad taste that some of the previous episodes in Season 5 left in my mouth. You will have to wait a while to read my thoughts on the complete season, so check back later in the week to read the full review! Season 6 is sure to be an exciting one.

There isn’t much to say here, as everything was the usual standard My Hero Academia quality. The only thing that can be said is I hope that the next season does better animation-wise and pays the sound director Yuki Hayashi a bajillion dollars to stick around because his music is absolutely astounding to listen to, and he killed it in Season 5.

Verdict

My Hero Academia Season 5 last episode

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 25 was a fantastic end to a troubled season. All the pieces are set, and the stakes are high. Season 6 is sure to be a bloodbath, and we are here for it. Let’s hope that Bones decides not to do another movie in the middle of a season this time.
