Nike Air Max 97 Black and Orange

The Nike Air Max 97 isn’t celebrating a milestone anniversary like some of its counterparts under the Swoosh umbrella, but it’s taken the first four months of 2021 to emerged in handfuls of impressive inline colorways. Case in point: A tonal orange pair accompanied by black branding and tread.

Akin to a recently-surfaced pair dedicated to the city of Los Angeles, the forthcoming option indulges in a vibrant, near fluorescent shade of citrus throughout its synthetic leather and mesh upper. Miniature swoosh logos at the mid-foot and tongue, as well as “air max” branding on the spine, deliver stark contrast to the mostly-monochromatic style. Although other Nike Sportswear models haven’t emerged in similar arrangements, it’s possible that’s likely to change as spring and summer roll along. Underfoot, the full-length Air cushioning also partakes in the titular, eye-catching orange color.
