Survive a bite?

I tried treating a bite as best as a could, I cured the infection however the bleeding wont stop and the bite won't heal, I feel like my charater has met her end, she is feeling nauseous now and I wonder if there is anyway of suriving a bite so my next charater doesn't have to meet meet such a fate.

Bites can heal but it takes a lot longer than say a scratch. It is more like a deep wound.

But a bite usually means you have the zombie virus, and that is incurable.

FYI, you can 'continue' that same save game, with a new character once your existing one dies. That way your world progress is not lost, just your character progress.

You can also turn off infection in sandbox options.

To be clear, you can turn off 'zombie infection'. If you do not use clean bandages, and keep the bite clean, you might get a normal infection. Then you need to find antibiotics in the game, which can help with the normal infections.

Yes its a 4% chance to not get the virus from a bite.

first clean the woud completly second bandace the wound and take sleeping pills I ve been bitten and I tried this and worked good

Well, you can't do anything against zombification. You can clean the bite, take al the medecines you want, nothing will work. But not all wounds inflicted by zombies will infect you with their disease, and it's possible that it won't result in you becoming one of them.

The best thing you can do is treating your wound the best you can (keep it clean, disinfected and bandage it with sterilized bandages), and hope you won't die (and come back...).

Only survived Once
Made my Character full put a disinfected bandage and waited
I lived from a bite

Second time I got bitten
I didn't live because my base got overruned
Had no medical supplys and no food
And died

Is there a chance the character goes along with the story and has like a 1 in a million chance of being Immune?

I've had a look from what I can figue out if your bite breaks the skin, making you bleed you have no chance to survive, but if you dont bleed then the bite has not broken your skin and you might survive.

I survived some bites, also friends of mine, while playing online, and yes infection was enabled.

Thats why gonzo max has said there is a chance to survive? I've just assumed you get an 'infection' regardless cause you know... peoples mouths are full of bacteria if they are dead or not.
