OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network debuts season 3 of its successful relationship series “Put A Ring On It” Friday, March 25th at 9 PM EST | 8 PM CST, also available on the OWN app and discovery+. The social experiment centers on 3 couples embarking on the ultimate relationship test, as they determine whether they should get married or call it quits. During the 9-week experience, the Atlanta area couples are guided by Master Relationship Coach Dr. Nicole LaBeach, who has been helping couples discover their truths for over 25 years.

Each week, the couples are pushed, stretched, and tested to confront the one question they’ve been too afraid to ask: is this pairing really ready for their ‘happily ever after?’ The couples go on a series of dates with other people and possibly discover if there’s a better love connection they’ve been missing all along. By confronting these issues head-on, will the couples decide it’s time to go their separate ways, or will it finally be time to ‘put a ring on it?’

During its most recent season in Fall 2021, “Put A Ring On It” ranked #1 in its time period on cable with African-American women, households and total viewers. The show is executive produced by Will Packer and Kelly Smith for Will Packer Media and Jeff Spangler and Rob LaPlante, Lighthearted Entertainment.

OWN has announced that the new season of “Put a Ring On it” debuts with 10 episodes Friday, June 25th from 9 pm CST/ 10 pm ET/PT

Will Packer’s unscripted relationship series Put A Ring on It follows three longtime couples, with help from master relationship coach Dr. Nicole LaBeach, who embark on the ultimate relationship test.

From week to week the couples are pushed outside their comfort zones to confront the question they’ve been too afraid to ask: is this their happily ever after? The couples will finally find out if they are truly meant to be together by dating other people, and in so doing they’ll discover if there’s a love connection they’ve been missing all along. Will they decide it’s time to go their separate ways, or is it finally time to put a ring on it?

Couple #1 - Alexia/ Former Professional Basketball Player (34) and Darion aka Smoke/ Field Mob (40)

Dating: 14 Years

About: This couple is on until they are off again. After a decade of dating, the two have finally moved in together. Darion does not seem excited to walk down the aisle and Alexia is putting on the pressure.

Couple #2 - LaRhonda/ Energy Industry Professional (32) and Jay/ Comedian (33) 

Dating: 3 Years 

About: LaRhonda is a super successful woman who is constantly leveling up and Jay is a successful comedian. LaRhonda is the top earner in the relationship which makes Jay want to hit the breaks on marriage. Before proposing and walking down the aisle, Jay wants to make sure he can meet LaRhonda halfway, financially. 

Couple #3 - Jessica/ Entrepreneur (30) and Eric/ Retired NFL Player (35)

Dating: 4 Years

About: Eric is adjusting to life post-NFL and Jessica is adjusting to Eric being fully committed. This couple has been battling issues from Day One. The two are not on the same page about when the couple was official. 

Season 2 of Put A Ring On It aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network on Fridays from June 25 to August 27 at 10/9c p.m. Put A Ring in It, Will Packer's new unscripted relationship series follows three longtime couples as they go on the ultimate relationship test with the guidance of professional relationship counselor Dr. Nicole LaBeach. Week after week, the couples are forced out of their comfort zones to face the issue they've been avoiding: is this their happily ever after? By dating other individuals, the couples will finally learn if they are actually meant to be together and if there is a love connection they've been missing all along. Alexia and Darion

The couple, who are usually on and off, have been together for 14 years. After dating for over a decade, they have recently moved in together. As Darion does not seem excited to get married, Alexia puts pressure on him, according to the OWN website. During the first episode, it has been revealed that temptation from elsewhere could end his 14-year relationship. Alexia responds to the situation with: “If you were considering my feelings, there would be no second date.” Despite this, they look super happy with each other on Instagram!

LaRhonda and Jay

LaRhonda, a successful engineer and investor who is “constantly leveling up”, has been with comedian Jay Dukes for three years. As she is the top earner in the relationship, Jay doesn’t feel like he wants to get married to her yet. Before proposing and walking down the aisle, Jay wants to make sure he can meet LaRhonda halfway when it comes to finances. We had a look at their Instagram pages, and it appears that the couple is happier and more loved-up than ever.

Jessica and Eric

They may have dated for four years, but Jessica and Eric are not on the same page when it comes to when they went “official”. Since having issues from day one, Eric is now adjusting to life after being an NBL player, while Jessica is trying to get used to him being fully committed. It looks like they may no longer be together, as neither Jessica nor Eric have any recent pictures with each other on Instagram (except for show promo). However, it has not been confirmed by either of them.
