On Monday, Reynolds, 44, posted a funny video on social media showing off his voice for a recent TikTok challenge. The Deadpool actor was singing Mika's 2009 hit song "Grace Kelly," repeating the chorus as he harmonized with himself each time.

Ferrell, 54, then appeared in the clip belting in a hilarious falsetto as Reynolds looked confused before joining back in.

Many followers joked in the comments asking the actors to release more duets and drop an album together. The singing challenge even got the approval of Octavia Spencer, Jeremy Renner, and Jordin Sparks.

"Late to the Grace Kelly Tik Tok trend but WAY early for our Christmas movie musical," Reynolds captioned the post, hinting at the two stars' joint project.

Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell Team Up on the Set of Their Holiday Movie Musical Spirited

Ferrell and Reynolds are currently working on their upcoming holiday movie musical Spirited, a modern retelling of Charles Dickens' 1843 classic novel A Christmas Carol. Reynolds is set to play a version of crotchety protagonist Ebenezer Scrooge while Ferrell will portray a version of the Ghost of Christmas Present. The movie musical also stars Spencer and Sunita Mani.

Over the summer, Reynolds tweeted about his excitement for the AppleTV+ project as they kicked off filming. However, the movie does not have a release date yet.

"Day 1 shooting with one of my comedy idols, Will Ferrell," he wrote in July, going on to joke, "You'd barely notice this was an @Apple movie! Also iOS 14.6 will begin installing in 7 seconds … "

Both stars are veterans to holiday films. Reynolds starred in the 2005 Christmas romantic comedy Just Friends (which he recently recreated a scene from on TikTok!), while Ferrell was the titular character in the 2003 classic Elf.

Reynolds also helped the Hallmark Channel usher in the Christmas season early this year, insisting in a PEOPLE-exclusive clip that he "needs" the holiday movie season. In the hilarious footage, the actor said that the Hallmark films are like being "in a little snow globe" as he also promoted his latest movie, Free Guy.

The Ghost of Christmas Present regrets his choice of Scrooge in the first teaser trailer for the holiday musical, Spirited. Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds star in this twist on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, which arrives in theaters November 11th and streams on Apple TV+ beginning November 18th.

Ferrell stars as Ghost of Christmas Present, who every year sets out to reform one dark soul with the help of two spectral comrades. But everything flips when he meets Clint Briggs (Reynolds), and suddenly this old Christmas Present is forced to reexamine his past and wrestle with his future.

The first trailer is a mix of tight musical choreography and loose comical riffs. A tap sequence leaves both leads wondering how the other knew the moves, and sweeping set piece dances are interspersed with bits about cool glowing lights in other rooms and the name of one of the first people Ferrell helped — a “sweet sick kid” — “Micro Mike? Super-small Steve?”

According to People, who spoke to a source close to Reynolds, he would like the Senators to stay in Ottawa, as a sale could potentially result in the team’s relocation.

Reynolds, 46, has not commented publicly on the matter.

He did, however, post a cheeky tweet on Tuesday alluding to his interest in purchasing the Sens.

The NHL has not issued a public statement, though the Ottawa Senators reportedly retained a bank this month to explore the possibility of a sale. Currently, the team is owned by the children of Eugene Melnyk, Anna and Olivia, both of whom are under 25. Melnyk died in March but acquired the team in 2003.

At the time of Melnyk’s purchase, the Senators were on the verge of bankruptcy. He paid $92 million for the team and its arena, the former Corel Centre, now the Canadian Tire Centre.

Bruce Firestone, the founder of the Ottawa Senators, told People that there are “at least two local groups who are looking at the opportunity” to purchase the NHL team. He did not name Reynolds specifically.
