It's fair to say Sarah Jessica Parker is known nearly as much for her balayage, chic long waves as she is for being Carrie Bradshaw. But that all changed yesterday when she debuted a chic new bob hairstyle.

SJP was spotted filming in New York for her upcoming movie Unfollow The Rules as she showed off her new look.

Not only is her hair a lot shorter, it's also much blonder, with the star ditching her iconic balayage colouring for a platinum blonde dye job.

It's the perfect summer change-up and the blondest we've seen Sarah in a long while. But is it real or is it a wig?

Right now it sure looks real, but we guess only time will tell...
