A sad but hopeful episode. Loved Charlotte and Carrie's conversations, heartfelt and meaningful for both women. Also, the start of a long a beautiful relationship with Vogue.

How did Carrie get the money for her apartment?

On SATC, Carrie supposedly could afford her apartment because it was a rent-controlled $750 a month, although this stretches reality in the same way that Monica could afford her luxury Friends two-bedroom because it was her grandmother's.

    Was Carrie Bradshaw poor?

In season 4, Carrie tells a photographer that she was so poor when she first moved to New York that she would purchase Vogue instead of dinner. It is mentioned that her father left her and her mother when she was five; no siblings are mentioned.

    Did Charlotte give Carrie money?

She storms out of her friend's apartment. At the end of the episode, a sufficiently browbeaten Charlotte does give her the 2.17 carat Tiffany ring and goes so far as to tell Carrie that it was wrong not to offer her $30,000 for her down payment. Carrie accepts the money and tells Charlotte she will pay her back.

    Was Carrie Bradshaw rich?

As a writer whose sole source of income came from a weekly column for a mid-tier newspaper, it's unlikely Carrie Bradshaw raked in the big bucks. And as fans of the long-running hit series Sex And The City know, Carrie – played by Sarah Jessica Parker – was absolutely hopeless with money.
