I drop my phone from a foot from a sitting position on to a very well padded carpet and now it wont turn bk on Sony r now trying to say iv damaged my phone and refuse to admit that there a floor with the Sony z range of phones are there any websites that can help with this as no one told me of the floor when I made the contract after speaking to citizens advice iv been told because of this my phone provided has to pay of my phone to be sent bk to Sony to be fixed for free or let me out of my contract for a phone that does not work I recommend u all look in to this as its had to all Sony z phones

My Z3 Compact did the same, I tried two remedies to revive my phone after going through numerous Forums (I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE 2ND AS IT WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY 'DO NOT TAKE THE BACK OF YOUR PHONE). I have had numerous conversations with Sony via there messenger, there is a video on youtube which guides you how to press the On Button and the volume up, however from which I have read it seems a vast majority of these Z phones have the same fault (I personally lost over 800 contacts because I did not back my contacts up) all phones need to be sent up to Sony, this is a known fault, just go on ebay loads put there refurbished models on. This is an ongoing fault with Sony Mobiles since 2013 maybe the little people should go to the Media via the TV and papers. I had used my phone for 4 months before this happened & did not know that the Z5 has the same fault I am awestruck that they have the same fault in its latest model and again Sony get away with it.

My xperia m5 suddenly shuts down while upgrading its Android is upgrading and till now its not opening and when charger is plugged in so only a red light comes can anybody tell me what to do?

I also suffered a sudden death on my Xperia Z5 when charging my phone (low bat). Send it out to Sony for repair through my carrier. I received a new phone from Sony under warranty. Very serious issue!

my xperia Z turned off when i was locked my phone, it happened 4 days ago. the battery is still around 80%. the power and vol + buttons didnt work on me, when i connected it to pc it couldnt recognized the device. and it always shows the red led, and sometimes a blink of white screen. i just didnt know what should i do, i already contacted xperia care center email but they still havent replied it yet :/

my sony ultra c5 suddenly won't charge n keeps draining. n the red light is on instead of the usual orange light(charging). n yeah,its cold for a moment n very little heat,im worried it still wont charge. really need it to work for working purposes. i dunno if i should get back to other brands since this problem starts

Wow !! 3 years later and I just suffered the exact red light of death on my Xperia z2 (red led comes on and nothing will get it to turn on or to charge). I, personally, will never buy another Sony phone - they have known about this problem for over 3 YEARS and are not even offering to fix peoples phones outside warranty, even though it is a hardware malfunction that is not caused by the end user.

My z1 died all of a sudden...checked my Facebook and Gmail at night.. I went to sleep...and in the morning booom..phone not starting neither charging..this happened on 5 th July...

I have a Xperia Z1 Compact that was suffering from the battery problem. Today suddenly turned off and it refuses to turn on, even with the vol up + power. When I connect the charger, there is no red led, the charger is cold as no current is flowing. I hate Sony ! UPDATE: I pressed the vol up + power more time until the phone began to vibrate and the red LED and charging screen appeared. I still hate Sony.

My ZC0682 wont reboot since morning. it went off after a few tries with some of the suggestions here, it come on. But it went off again after a while and
since then it wont work again. I have charged it and as soon as you charge it, Sony Xperia in white appears after that it wont launch the interface. it's been like that since morning. Any help?

My ZL keeps randomly dying with almost full battery. Sometimes after boot it tries to optimize all the installed apps and fails id there is no charger connected. Does anyone have solution for this? I already have trying to repair it with Xperia companion, though no luck here :(

2016OMG my xperia z just did the same. 30.6.2016. I guess the life cycle has run outMy Z3 compact did the same today ... Found out if you hold power button and up volume it eventually turns on hope it does for you x

Hi, my Xperia Z is dead after it got caught in water. I tried to switch it on but I saw the LED light blinking a few times, after that whenever I pressed the ON button, the LED light no longer flashed. I already tried drying it with hair dryer and rice treatment but to no avail. Is there a way to revive my phone? Thanks in advance.

Hi, my phone (3 year old) got caught in water, and I tried to dry it by putting it in a rice bucket and using the hair dryer, but it still cannot switch on. The first time I tried to switch it on, the LED light blinked a few times, after that when I pressed the on button there was no longer any light. Anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance.
