Stick of Truth invest $20 dollars

... aaand it's NOT gone, as it turns out!

While, yes, this is callback to the Margarita Ville episode, you can get your money back! After you gain the ability to shrink, you can go behind the counter through a mouse hole and hit the banker with your melee weapon to start combat. Once you beat him, his body will have an amount of coins on him equal to 150% of your total investment.

While I was not expecting to get my initial $20 investment I made near the start of the game back, when I first beat him he had $30 on him. So I quickly reloaded the auto-save, invested another $20, beat him, and his body had $60!

The upper limit on investments is $60; he will take more, but it will not increase the loot beyond $90. This seems to be roughly consistent with the number of variations in his investment spiel, so once he proclaims the you are an experienced and sophisticated investor, do not invest any more money. The banker will not respawn after you have beaten him, so this is a one time withdrawal.

As @LessPop_MoreFizz pointed out in the comments, while the base value of his loot is 150% your total investment (for a maximum of $90), you can further increase it by equipping armor and patches that increase money rewards. So by equipping the full pre-order assassin set, and a bunch of magnet type patches (Small Magnets, Buckyball Magnets), you can increase the return on your investments to $150!

I didn't bother wasting the cash because I had a feeling he was going to say "and it's gone" right after I invested.

As far as I know, just a waste of money. Might need to do it to get him as a Friend but who knows? I haven't wasn't that much money on it beyond the initial 20 bucks. However, you SHOULD splurge on the Hoff nosejob. Trust me on this.

I tried this and I never found anything from it but this was on the same day as well but in my eyes its a waste of money. Money is insanely easy to get anyways. I always seem to have plenty of it.

The Bank is a reference to the episode where Stan goes to invest his money and as soon as he does the bank says... "and its gone". It does nothing but waste $20.

No it actually does do something. Later in the game when you can shrink you can go back there and attack him and fight him and he drops cash you invested plus more. I havent quite figured the exacts out but first time after only initial 20 i got 30 back. I tried investing like 200 and only got 100 and something back. Then i tried 60 and got 90 so there is def correlation between 20 to 30 and 60 to 90 but obviously not when i lost money. I am guessing there is a limit, be because after 60 he starts repeating phrases, a friend told me gear you wear effects it but idk. I didnt feel like doing it anymore ive beaten the game enough to get all trophys thats enough of a lame game for me.

You answered what it does but missed the significance I think. The very THING is the reference, that's the joke. You invest your money "Aaaaaaaaaand, it's gone!". For those familiar with the episode that's hilarious! I can even see people NOT familiar with that episode finding the humor in that. The $20 isn't wasted. The $20 buys a damned funny joke! I'm cool with that.

Yeah, you equipment effects what you earn in the battle, so equip all the money boost gear before you fight him. It's easy to turn a $30 gain into a $45 gain.

Where is the Bank South Park Stick of Truth?

South Park: The Stick of Truth Filmore is hiding here during the "Hide and Seek" quest. You can find him behind the counter.

How do you fight the teller in Stick of Truth?

The New Kid simply needs to use Gnome Dust to shrink down and go through a well hidden hole behind the left of his desk in the bank. The Bank Teller is ridiculously easy to fight, as he has no Shields, Armor, and no Special Attacks. His melee attack consists of kicking the New Kid or his buddy.
