Meta © 2022 Hi everyone! Hope you all are staying safe. I have an e-gift card from Lululemon that was issued to me in 2019. I checked the balance of it today and the history says it was Force Redeemed on 2/13/2020. I live chatted with Lululemon today and the rep said I had to file a police report :/ Does anyone have any experience with this happening to their gift cards? I don't really want to file a police report level 1 Just out of curiosity and I’ll understand if you don’t want to answer, but did they explain why you should file a police report? level 2 They said it was because they treat gift cards as cash level 1 Did you use it? I have had gift cards that I used before that said forced redemption after I'd used it and rechecked the balance. level 2 Never, I spoke to another rep and he said that it was redeemed in store in Williamsburg, which I've never been to :( level 1 How much was on it? Is it worth the trouble? level 2 Definitely, I had $107 on it level 1 Did they explain what does "force redeemed" mean in their system? If someone stole your gift card number and pin, should it just be balance zero? level 2 The rep did not. I did check another gift card that I had actually used and the history said "Redemption," so I think if someone else used the gift card it would also say "Redemption." level 1 Sorry this is so out of the blue but what ever happened with this?! I’m in a similar situation now with lululemon. Very frustrated. level 2 They basically said sorry we can't do anything unless you file a police report. Even then they said there's no guarantee that I would be issued a new one, so I just gave up level 1 Hi! This happened to me too...On the same EXACT day. Mine was spent in the International Village in California. I have never been there in my life. I just found out today, because I got an email notifying me about a possible data breach...And found out my account balance of $700 is now gone. Do you happen to know where your card was spent? level 1 Same issue with me. I checked after I got the email about the breach and my gift card that was $360 now only has 11 cents left. I have been talking with Lululemon and they keep saying they reach back to me but nothing yet and its been over a week. level 1 Same thing happened to me today. But The Gec representative told me it was force redeemed by one of the employees in the store. It was not a purchase from someone else. She has helped me escalate with the issue and promised to have a result in 3 business days. level 2 Did they ever get back to you? 5-star 58% 4-star 11% 3-star 4% 2-star 2% 1-star 25% I bought my wife a Victoria Secrets gift card for her birthday. They sent it to her on time and I really appreciate that. My wife
was thrilled! Date of experience: September 06, 2019 Just found out that 2 of my other E-Gift cards have a 0 balance after initially having the stated amount on them. Apparently the cards I paid for were used in another state AFTER I paid for them which means either the seller kept the info and used the cards after selling to EJgiftcards OR EJGiftcards sold the same card numbers twice. Yes I phoned and left message and YES I submitted claims for these but yet again, zero reply from them. They can come
on here all they want and say to contact them but the fact is that they DO NOT reply back to you or refund your money. 100 day guarantees mean nothing if the company does nothing to adhere to them! Date of experience: September 05, 2019 Good services. I got my card in record time. Jusr a few seconds. Date of experience: September 05, 2019 I bought an American Airlines ticket before I caught my flight. I got it in 10 mins! Amazing service. I would recommended anyone
to buy from them. Date of experience: September 03, 2019 It was fast and easy Date of experience: September 02, 2019 Reply from Ejgiftcards Sep 3, 2019 Thank
you so much for your positive feedback. We are always working to improve your customer experience. This is the kind of site that makes it hard to trust internet buisness. It's not that it was a whole lot of money but when times are tough anything helps and times are most definitely tough all over right now. I know it's only a few days late but when a place tells you that you will be paid in 3 days or less, especially one that is apparently making thousands of dollars from stealing people's gift cards and then selling them to other people short money
or even empty, then that payment deadline should be kept. I fell even more bad for those I've just read about here that either bought or sold (or thought that they were rather) cards for hundreds of dollars only to be scammed instead than I do about my $25 dollar Stubhub e-gift card that I won from Newport-Pleasure.com and was selling for an already low $11.25. I should have known as soon as they said I had to wait 1-3 days to get paid through PayPal yet the money on the card was instantly taken
that something wasn't right. But by then it was to late. The usual site I use is sellmegiftcards.com, they pay anywhere from 4 hours to 2 months depending on what percentage you sell your card for, and have never had 1 problem however they only take Amazon cards right now so I took a chance and this crap of a website stole my gift card balance and will probably sell it to someone empty now that they have it, which in a way kind of makes me indirectly responsible for someone else getting scammed.
This makes me not only feel Angry but also rather stupid because I let it happen by not checking these reviews first. I hope that this review allows someone else the opportunity to keep their money/card before letting this joke of a company get their greedy, thieving, and deceiving hands on it. This kind of thing should be criminal. I know I willingly gave them the number and pin but still it should be considered theft by deception. You should not have to send the pin until you receive payment
or a partial payment untill verified at least. Just like a bank and a check, you get up to $200 up front with the. Rest paid after verification. Why should each individual have to take tge risk. Anyway don't use this site they will steal your money the whole time telling you that they are not stealing it. They respond to your emails telling you that they are fixing the issue and that you will gey your payment and that they are sorry. You can't keep trying to hand me a puppy while telling me its
a duck. Please don't make the same mistake I did. And to the company itself, you are horrible, crappie, thieving, worthless excuses for good buisness owners and I hope that in the end you get what you truly deserve. Feel lucky that you are doing this with the safety of anonymity behind a screen like a coward and not out in the streets of the real world where some one could make you eat your teeth. I hope the laws of karma make your future filled with all of the pain and false hope you have given
each of us and that everyday you feel more and more like the worthless ugly human being that you truley are. I hope you go to prison like you deserve and end up with a bunch of people who's mother's you stole from so that you can pay for every dollar you stole. Date of experience: August 31, 2019 DO NOT SELL GIFT CARDS VIA THIS SITE. I sold a gift card to them - gave them the information and everything. I was not paid. Weeks went by. I emailed to follow up several times, but was always
reassured that I would be paid soon. The most recent email I received from them said I would be paid on Friday. That was more than a week ago. I was not paid, and no one has responded to my emails since. I cannot sell my gift card elsewhere because they have the info and could either sell it or use it. This has been an annoying, time-consuming, and frustrating experience. Don't be fooled like I was. Use Raise or ebay, or somewhere else more legitimate. Date of experience: August 25, 2019
Purchased a giftcard and when I tried to use it the balance is zero. Submitted a claim and the email response said will refund in 21 business days, but never see the refund back. Please do not buy anything from them unless you are ready to experience what I have experienced. Date of experience: August 22, 2019 I purchased 2 Ticketmaster gift cards worth $1,000 for $900, and when I checked the gift card balances on both cards they both said 0. I ended up filing 2 claims for a refund. It was
confirmed that I was going to get a refund within 14-21 business days. Those days went by so quick, and I still haven't received my full refund. I even tried calling their customer service phone, but it goes straight to voicemail and I had to keep leaving messages. Then, I was able to get some communication with the co-founder of EJGIFTCARDS, Mr. Elliott James himself, by email. He left me his other office number to reach him, and ever since then he's been difficult to contact. I called the
other number as well too, and haven't received any responses. I know for sure that I would never buy anything from this company ever again, and again I would appreciate my full refund back. Date of experience: August 20, 2019 Reply from Ejgiftcards Aug 20, 2019 Hi, I didn't experience any problems with EJ gift cards. I got an invitation to write a review and I think they did great. I got my money. Date of
experience: August 20, 2019 READ THE REVIEWS!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS
COMPANY!!!!! I would give ZERO stars if I could! I purchased a Texas Roadhouse egiftcard in May of 2019 as a gift for my Mom. She didn't try to use it until August 10, 2019. She was told there was a ZERO balance on the card! I HAD checked the balance before I mailed it to her and it had the FULL value! I checked the gift card number balance and in the transaction details the FULL VALUE of the egiftcard had been redeemed by FORCED REDEEM at a Texas Roadhouse that was HUNDREDS of miles from both
my home and my parents! I spoke to the Manager at that Texas Roadhouse and he said that Forced Redeem means that either the physical gift card would not scan or the egiftcard bar code would not scan so they just TYPE IN the information given to them! So SOMEONE provided this egift card number and pin number to the thief that stole the value of this gift card! EJGiftcards has NOT responded to my email and, at this time, THEY got MY money and I got NOTHING! I hope everyone thinks to check this
company's reviews before they purchase from EJGiftcards! I made the sad mistake of NOT checking the reviews! The reviews are TRUE! Date of experience: August 19, 2019 If I could give zero stars I would. Got an email saying payment for cards would hit my PayPal in "1 to 3 business days." That was two weeks ago. No communication from them since, and repeated emails to their "customer service" go
unanswered. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Date of experience: August 19, 2019 The card I bought last Friday had a bit less than advertised. I spoke to their customer service and I got a refund on that same day! Date of experience: August 19, 2019 Reply from Ejgiftcards Aug 19, 2019 Thanks for this review! Rapid response time... This was my first time ever selling an unwanted gift card, and it was a great experience! Date of experience: August 19, 2019 Reply from Ejgiftcards Aug 19, 2019 Thanks for the great feedback, Jennifer! Noone to talk to and it took wayyyyyy to long for the money to hit my account Date of experience: August 19, 2019 Reply from Ejgiftcards Aug 19, 2019 Hi Jasmine, They sell used or empty gift cards. They do not check if the gift card they are selling has been used or emptied. I bought a gift card and had already been emptied/used the day before I used it. I did send email to the address the vendor provide as well as their online contact form for 2+ weeks. So don't say you will respond promptly. Another sign of misleading statements.
