AIR FRYER SAUSAGE LINKS are so easy to cook in the air fryer. The clean up is quick, the sausage is less greasy, and they can cook while you work on the rest of your breakfast!

Sausage links are a staple in all restaurants that serve breakfast for good reason. They are yummy, and easy to cook.

The only down side to them is the actual cooking of them…they pop grease around, they make the whole house smell like sausage, and you have to babysit them so as not to burn the bottoms.

The air fryer solves all of those problems. Plus, cooking sausage links in the air fryer doesn’t take up space on your stove top so there is plenty of room for your hash browns, eggs, and pancakes to cook while the sausage is doing it’s thing.

These sausage links in the air fryer get perfectly browned on the outside, just like you sat and babysit them on the stove, turning them at exactly the right time. 😉

They’re so flavorful, not overly greasy, and they’re just a really simple breakfast protein.

Plus, air fryer sausage links are easy enough that the kids can toss them in before school and make their own breakfast!

For fresh, refrigerated links- Place your links in a single layer, ideally not touching, in your air fryer basket. Cook them for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F. then flip or just give the basket a quick shake and cook for 5 more minutes.

For uncooked frozen links- If they are NOT precooked, you need to cook them at two different temps. Cook them at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes. Flip them and cook for 7-8 minutes at 400 degrees F. Due to varying thicknesses and differences in air fryer models, you should confirm the internal temp of the sausage is at least 160 degrees F before serving.

For precooked frozen links- This is just as easy as our refrigerated links. Cook them for 10 minutes, but at 350 degrees F. Flip or shake them halfway through.

How long do raw sausages take in the air fryer?

Arrange the sausages in a single layer in an air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 180C and cook for 10-15 mins, turning every 5 mins, until the sausages are cooked through. If you have a meat thermometer, check they have reached 75C in the middle. Serve as a side for breakfast or in buns.

What happens if I put sausages in air fryer?

Unlike cooking them on the stove, when you put sausages in the air fryer, you don't need to watch them or flip them or anything. They cook and brown evenly all the way around and you don't have to do anything. The result is a sausage with a crisp and brown exterior that is nice and juicy on the inside.
