The American Hotel Atlanta Downtown is less than ten miles from the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and around two minutes, on foot, from the Centennial Olympic Park. It lives up to its name as a downtown location and is also just steps from the Peachtree Center MARTA station, Margaret Mitchell Square, and the Georgia Pacific Museum. Smelled like weed for two days. We complained to move rooms shortly after checking in but were told that we couldn’t move.

Pros:People were fine

Cons:Room,mainly the bathroom was horrible! Grout missing, mold on shower curtain. Disgusting.

Pros:The proximity of the hotel to major tourist attractions is great. Easy walking distance to the them all.

Cons:The hotel was looked worn and rather unclean. The rooms were cramped. My TV did not work. After 3 attempts by the staff to make it right (and two comps on my bill) they move us to a different room. The staff did everything on their power to make it right for us, but I think they were handicapped by the facilities and resources available to them. Hilton needs to make an investment in this facility!

Pros:Location and parking were great.

Cons:The bathtub would not drain. Very gross.

Cons:Although the valet guys were really nice, they did get pen on my leather seats. the room didn't have a fridge.

Cons:Room was very dusty! Bathroom fixtures were all loose. Bathtub did not drain properly. Room door was coming off the hinges.
