The only possible way you can watch the progressive movie rn is in Japanese theaters. So book a plane ticket to Japan.

SAO will start going to international theaters like the US next month as a very limited release. So check your local theater and see if tickets are on presale rn.

If you don’t get the chance to watch it in theaters next month, then you’re out of luck. Both the legal and non-legal streaming services won’t get it until 6 months after the movie released in Japan when the Blu-ray comes out. The non-legal sites rip their copies off of the Blu-ray btw.

The only way you can do it is by importing it from Japan via somewhere like cdjapan or amazon japan.

Picked up mine from CD Japan. Has English subs and was a limited edition, so felt like it was worth it

I wanted to watch the movie but unfortunately for me it came out close to my final week so I’m pretty sure I missed my chance to watch it in theaters. I was wonder if it’ll come to funamation or crunchyroll or will I have to wait for the blue ray to come out?

In the US, Hulu was the only one who had OS until a few months ago.

It will only be in theaters for now. It’ll come to Blu-ray 6 months after October 30th.

Legal sites and anime movies are kinda iffy since obtaining the licensing for them is hard. So, I wouldn’t get your hopes up of seeing it on legal streaming services as soon as the Blu-ray releases.

been 6 and a half months at this point and still nothing, not even on the... not.. legal sites. seriously woulda thought at least SOMEONE wouldve gone, seen the movie, then uploaded it somewhere.

Okay so usually with these Japanese type anime movies, you'd need to wait 6-8 months from the release of teather, they don't usually go on streaming site this early, expect some movie animes that have strucked a deal long before it's release. We'll just have to wait and see, don't worry it will for sure be streamable

Even I looked everywhere. Nothing but ads and spam. It will eventually be available through streaming from Crunchyroll and FUNimation possibly Hulu and Netflix. Just have to check Twitter posts since that's when they will announce them. I missed my chance to see it in theatres from Canada so now I gotta wait until it's announced when it will be released for streaming. I hope it's not edited on Crunchyroll like they did with Ordinal Scale for that bath scene because I saw it in theatres even online afterwards uncensored so I know what Crunchyroll did and it's disappointing even as a premium member Crunchyroll will have some uncensored anime and the rest censored due to the rights of the series unless they are given the okay to release the uncensored version

4 months later and I still can't find it. Not even an article about when it will be released. Even illegal sites don't have it. I really wonder if that film even exists lol. I would pay full blu-ray price to watch it but there is nothing. I'm really frustrated by now since I like the show and want to see that movie.

I have no idea how you cannot find any information whatsoever on the entire internet, when we literally have a pinned post in the sub with the release date of the bluray...
