The tier list has gotten so much better overtime. At first the tier list felt felt extremely inaccurate. But nowadays while the tier list is by no means perfect (which is impossible to achieve) it definitely seems like it is accurate. Of course I can name a plenty of units I consider that should be x tier whether up or down, but so can everyone else. Since what tier a unit belongs to be highly biased upon experience. Those things don't matter on an individual level for a tier list. What matters is how this helps new, and returning players. And I can definitely feel comfortable telling a new player to use this as a reference point to what is and isn't good for when they ask a blank question like "what units do I put on my defense team" in a game with more units than there are Pokemon.

Just wanted to give credit where credit is due. You guys over at Gamepress have really improved a lot with this.

Bride Nailah in the same tier as OG Nailah and Hatari Nailah seems odd to me. (I often use Team Nailah + Rafiel for PvP modes like SD.)

Her Special Spiral effect is nifty and easy to kickstart with Rafiel or Velouria support, but the built-in Tempo and Canto of the other two sets them apart in my opinion. She would've benefited A LOT from Vital Astra being inheritable to beasts.

To be fair, I think B!Nailah is better then the units in tier 3 for her category. She might be worse than the other two Nailahs, but I don’t think it’s enough to justify a tier drop.

F!Robin as the sole green tome in tier 5

They did the Robins so dirty. Boey got CC, Cecilia got TA plus flier effectiveness, and F!Robin is stuck with a noticeably worse version of Fae's refine that doesn't even benefit herself. It was a terrible refine even when they got it.

They still get the job done but compared to what comes out, they just fit the "boring but practical" bill. They're least better off than most Gen 1 units tbf

It makes sense tbh. There's a lot of higher tiered hard-hitting units that can do their job much better without having to rely strictly on buff setups while also worrying about Panic and lull skills.

I’m a bit skeptical of YInnes remaining in T1, especially since Duo Chrom has largely replaced him in AR. Sure, he’s the easier to build option, but he struggles to break through most save tanks and can’t even scratch most Hardy Bearing users. I see a lot more of HLeif and LClaude comparatively as well.

Yeah I kinda agree. His match ups with my +0 VRobin is usually him failing to kill her even with precharge and just dying and in Arena, he just makes a small dead to my Nott/Seiros when they are being used

He definitely isn't as strong as he used to be, but DR remains very relevant and DR-piercing keeps him in a good spot.

with how people talked about lulls being everywhere, I'm surprise it took this long for the bladetome users to drop since they been t3 for a long time. Still get some results outta Tharja but eh, she's one fo the lucky few with a OK prf, I can't complain

Though what happened with HNowi that warrented to be in T2?

H!Nowi's weapon provides a decent bit of stats (and being a flier means she has access to reins/holds as well), so she makes for a great saveball support with some cleanup capability and great movement for collecting pots.

I'd say nowadays lulls are less common and blade tomes are actually more viable (still worse than brave weapons for vantage shenanigans)

I was going to say he aged but looking at the other Tier 3/4 units there's no way he's that low.

Fucking L!Seliph is tier 4 and he's nearly unplayable. Meanwhile, Itsuki and Laevatein are tier 3 when they are much easier to kill than Sigurd.

I get that Sigurd isn't longer the literal best thing in the world after some of his niches became more common, but he's stacked enough that should be a Tier 3 Unit IMO.
