If I had to compare the utility of all of these units based entirely on the trailer alone (with no testing since the units are not out yet), and ignoring combat ability (cuz let's be honest, none of them will struggle with combat), here's how I would personally rank them, and let's see if this comment ages well:
All of this was to say, sparking for Chrom, and picking Byleth as a freebie, and if i get the other two along the way, great. It can be because the character was your favorite, had great fodder, you liked their art, were super powerful, or any other reason! If you can’t think of any then you could also just put down your most recent one too. I’ll go first- I’m a bit of an orb hoarder and probably don’t have as many good heroes as I should, so when I pulled a free base Lysithea awhile ago with perfect IVs she changed the game for me. I was able to clear so much content I couldn’t before and she quickly got up to 7000 HM. My most recent one I actually got was today (which inspired this post) and it was a +Atk -Spd F!H!Robin which I’m super excited about Join reddit Create an account to follow your favorite communities and start taking part in conversations. Create an account Anyone else riddled in disappointment they didn't let us just choose who we wanted? I mean they're free, yeah. We shouldn't really complain about it. But, I just feel like there wouldn't have been as much negative feedback in the community over it. level 1 I'm fine with random but the random on top of random is annoying. level 2 "Oh, I guess I'll go red to pick the least worst option." 3 Green, 1 Blue, 1 Colorless "Oh, I guess I'll try for Distant Counter..." Spring Sharena "Swift Stance 2, huh..." level 1 They could atleast let us choose a color, it sucks wanting red and get 0 red orbs. level 2 On the flip side I find it stressful to be given two or more of a color you want because after you decide which one to pick you wonder what the other one could have had. Wish they just did it with 4 orbs of each color level 2 First banner had 5 green orbs for me. Was nice knowing I really didn't have a choice at all. level 2 I had worse. 2 red orbs. The one I chose wasn't the character I wanted. Now I'm just wishing I choose the other. Even though the other red was probably also a character I didn't want. The fact is I'll never know level 2 Aren't the units decided once you open the summoning session? Does the colour of the orbs influence anything? level 1 Or at the very least give us one of each colour like with the choose your legends. level 2 Yeah, the not getting the colors I wanted has left me a tad salty.. level 1 Yeah, it just feels bad knowing there are a lot of things you could have gotten, then getting a duplicate of something you already had with no good skills. Of course, having random orb colors on top of IVs just adds more layers of potential disappointment. level 2 Yeah. I didn't get any reds on Year 1. I was sad. I wanted my Leo. level 1 After being denied of Micaiah for an unit I already had, YES I AM DISAPPOINTED level 2 I got denied a Sumer Leo for a third PA!Inigo. :)))))))))))))))) level 1 I'm not exactly thrilled about it but at least we got something. I feel like if we got 100 orbs straight up that would've been a better deal. At least with 100 orbs we can have a chance to gun for what we want...this was just way too randomly. level 2 Yeah. At least I can save 100 orbs for a banner I'll like. Or for a rerun of one I did like. level 1 Seasonals are fine, there are too many of them to not regret choosing the "wrong" one. IVs are a pain no matter how you cut it, and you can't even use the new merge features to mitigate poor IVs. But making Find and Vote random is just a massive disappointment, because it's incredibly easy for the community to vote for something that doesn't interest you, and impossible to avoid it once they do. It's impossible not to compare it to A Hero Rises and it comes up short in almost every regard. level 2
I don't want to get legendary Azura or Duma u.u level 2 I mean, I felt the same way last year with everyone voting Vanguard Ike tbh. I honestly didn't like the seasonals. Maybe it was because I didn't get the units I wanted. Maybe it was cuz I got double dupes. Maybe it was cuz I didn't get the colors I wanted either. Who knows.
