Daxton or Benvi: Which ship will prove to be endgame for Never Have I Ever? That’s the million-dollar question that has been on the mind of Never Have I Ever fans from the beginning of the series and is one that is likely to continue right up until the final season’s arrival.

While it looked like there might have been hope for Benvi shippers last season, those quickly went out the window as Devi ended the season in a relationship with Paxton. It made sense given the direction the season has been going in and set up for Devi and Paxton to finally be in a committed relationship as season 3 begins.

However, as the trailer for the season hinted at, things might not go as smoothly for the pair as Daxton stans might hope. In fact, there are a few moments in the early first two episodes of the season along that are likely to have fans questioning the pair’s future. So while Devi begins season 3 of Never Have I Ever with Paxton, is there any hope for those hoping to see Devi end up with Ben this season?

Do Ben and Devi end up together in Never Have I Ever?

Devi and Ben might not have started the season together, but they indeed seem to end up together by the end of the season! We say seem to end up together because their future remains up in the air as part of the season-ending cliffhanger; however, things are looking good for Benvi shippers!

Early in the season, Devi begins to get into her head about her relationship with Paxton and how everything things their pairing makes no sense at all. These false perceptions send her into a spiral which ignites her underlying insecurities about not being “good enough” for him. Ultimately, the pair choose to go their separate ways early in the season which is when Devi then rebounds with the season’s new hottie, Des, who she meets at a party after her mom makes her invite him as a favor to her friend.

Sadly, Des and Devi’s relationship fizzles out about as fast as it begins when Des’s mom finds out about the pair dating and orders him to break up with her because of Devi’s past issues.

Ben initially overhears Des’s conversation with his mom and attempts to give Devi a heads up which leads to a blow-up between the two. However, once she takes a step back, Devi is able to see that Ben was just trying to look out for her which leads to an emotional conversation between the two which ends with Devi joking that she’ll probably die a virgin — which prompts Ben to jokingly give her a coupon for “one free boink.”

Cut to the finale and the pair exchange another really sweet moment when Ben tells Devi he doesn’t want her to leave because he’ll truly miss her if she were to leave town to attend the fancy school she’s been invited to attend as a stepping stone to college.

As the season ends, Devi decides not to go to the school because she’s not yet ready to leave home and to lose that year with her mom before spreading her wings for college. It seems like that is where the season will end, but then came the biggest twist of the season.

In the closing moments of the season, Devi showed up on Ben’s doorstep to cash in her “one free boink” coupon leading to the season’s final shot being of Devi and Ben making out as he closes the door and the season fades to black!

Needless to say, the season-ending definitely seemed to hint that Ben and Devi could be endgame for Never Have I Ever and we’ll confess we did not expect Devi and Ben to end up together at the end of this season given how it began.

Never Have I Ever is officially back! Who does Devi end up with in Never Have I Ever season 3, though? Paxton, Ben or Des?

Never Have I Ever season 3 opens with Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and Paxton (Darren Barnet) officially dating. However, it is clear that Ben (Jaren Lewison) still has feelings for Devi and it wouldn't be Never Have I Ever if there wasn't some sort of love triangle. On top of that, season 3 adds a third love interest to the mix: private school hottie Des (Anirudh Pisharody).

How does Never Have I Ever season 3 end though and which boy does Devi choose? Here's a breakdown of what happens.

How does Never Have I Ever season 3 end?

Does Devi break up with Paxton?

The first couple of episodes of Never Have I Ever season 3 explore Devi's relationship with Paxton. Everything is going well and he respects the fact that Devi isn't ready to have sex yet and makes clear that it's not an issue. However, Devi is increasingly insecure about other people thinking she isn't hot enough to date Paxton and, this affects them so much, that they split.

Meanwhile, Aneesa (Megan Suri) breaks up with Ben because she can tell that he's still evidently in love with Devi. However, instead of running into Ben's arms in the wake of the breakup, she meets Des, a private school boy who's the son of one of Nalini's friends, and it's immediately clear that they have chemistry. They begin dating, and Nalini even approves of it.

Des isn't Devi's boyfriend for long though.

Does Devi hook up with Ben?

Before performing in a school orchestra concert, Devi sees a vision of her dad in the audience and goes to the bathroom to cry. Des' mum, Rhyah, stumbles across Devi in tears and later tells Des to break up with her because she's too troubled for him to date. Ben overhears the conversation and tells Devi.

Devi doesn't believe Ben but Des begins avoiding her and lying to her so Devi confronts him. Des explains that he can't go against what his mum says because she pays for his phone bill. Devi then throws Des' iced coffee over him and officially ends things between them.

In episode 9, Devi apologises to Ben for not believing him. She then says she's gonna die a virgin and Ben replies: "If you're still a virgin on your deathbed, I'll come and have sex with you." He jokingly gives her a self-made "one free boink" card.

In the final episode, Devi realises that she does have feelings for Ben and shows up at his door with the card and they kiss.

However, this is Never Have I Ever so nothing's simple. Amid Devi's romantic escapades, Ben began growing close to a girl in his art class and they agreed to go on a date not long before Devi showed up at Ben's door. It looks like season 4 will explore if Devi and Ben simply "boink" or if they actually try to make a relationship work.

Elsewhere, Paxton graduates, so it looks like his love story with Devi has officially come to an end. Devi also gets offered a place to study at an elite college named Shrubland School for her final year but she decides to stay at Sherman Oaks because she doesn't want to miss out on more time with her mum.

Who does Devi end up with Ben or Paxton?

The two break up and shortly after their split Paxton gets a new girlfriend. Devi, still heartbroken, plans to attend a house party Paxton and his new girl will be at so she can act like their relationship doesn't bother her.

They end their relationship after Paxton tells Devi that he really likes her but: "I don't think we can have a real relationship until you like yourself." After waiting three seasons to see Daxton make it official, fans were understandably upset to see them break up so soon.
