Who wins veto on big brother tonight

First, a quick recap that overnight, Head of Household Taylor nominated Brittany and Turner for eviction. This is largely irrelevant, and it was symbolic mostly of the fact that these were the two who cast their votes last night, leading to the tie. Everyone knows that the Veto is the one who controls who gets evicted — unless Taylor wins, then she controls the person who votes. (Quick reminder: Even though Taylor seems to know that Brittany voted to evict her, she’s not playing an emotional game. We think she’d make sure Brittany stays until final three just because she’s easier to beat at the end.)

Typically, the final four Veto has a heavy memory component, so studying intently is the best way to ensure that you do really well in it.

Now, without further ado, let’s get to sharing the results. Monte win! That’s great news for his game, but probably means we aren’t going to get a lot of drama the next several days. He’s almost certainly going to evict Brittany unless he decides to go ahead and take a swipe at Turner, who is a bigger threat to win. The reason he won’t do that, though, is because if Turner stays, there’s a better chance that both Taylor and Turner would take him to final two. The odds are a little bit more in his favor with that in mind. For now, we think we’re charting towards a Taylor / Monte final two, which could be a pretty good showdown.

The remaining houseguests also did get the tiny table this morning. Isn’t that a big achievement?

The results of the Big Brother season 24 week 11 Power of Veto competition are in, courtesy of the live feeds, and the winner is Monte Taylor. This is the final veto competition of the summer. Monte won the competition after Head of Household (HOH) Taylor Hale nominated Brittany Hoopes and Matt "Turner" Turner for eviction.

The Big Brother Final 4 veto is crucial because the winner decides who will accompany them and the HOH to the Final 3 of the competition. Taylor's decision to keep Monte safe from the chopping block this week may have something to do with the fact that they began a showmance last week, and they have been closely aligned for most of the game. However, Taylor acknowledged that the nominees did not really matter because all of the power would be in the hands of the Power of Veto winner.

Now the live feeds have revealed that Monte has won the final Big Brother 24 Power of Veto competition of the summer, guaranteeing himself a place in the Final 3 with Taylor. This is his second veto win of the summer. His first was the crucial win during the week 9 double eviction that allowed him and his ally Turner to backdoor frontrunner Michael Bruner from the house. His decision about whether to evict Turner or Brittany could make the difference in whether he wins the whole game. Taylor asked Monte if he would agree to keep Brittany and evict Turner this week, but Monte has not agreed to this plan yet. It is very unlikely that he will, considering that he and Turner have agreed to keep each other safe until the end of the game.

However, Monte may realize that he has a better chance of winning the final Big Brother HOH against Brittany than Turner. Also, it's unlikely Brittany would take him to the Final 2. Although Turner would most likely stay loyal to Monte if he won, Monte might figure that it is better to keep the power in his own hands, and he could potentially beat Brittany, who has never won an HOH competition. She did, however, win three Power of Veto competitions and gained power from her Festie Bestie Michael in a fourth. Unlike the other HOH competitions, the outgoing HOH, Taylor, is also eligible to play in the Final 3 game. The competition is played in three parts, with the winners of parts 1 and 2 facing off in part 3. The winner of that final round decides whom he or she will take with them to compete for the jury votes to win the $750,000 grand prize.

The Big Brother 24 Power of Veto competitions have been especially exciting this year because Michael broke the single-season veto wins record set by Janelle Pierzina 16 years ago. He won 6 out of the 11 veto competitions that were played this summer. Also, Monte's win is exciting because he now has the power to either stay loyal to Turner or to evict him and add another major player's eviction to his resumé. Whatever he decides, Monte has secured his place in the Final 3 and is one step closer to winning Big Brother 24.
