Who won power of veto on big brother tonight

Big Brother 24 has been an exciting season, to say the least. There have been many ups and downs, but the houseguests seemingly leave the fans entertained almost every week. And one player — Michael Bruner — recently made Big Brother history when he secured his sixth Power of Veto win in season 24.

Michael won the Power of Veto during week nine of ‘Big Brother 24’

After the houseguests evicted Kyle Capener from the Big Brother 24 house, they competed in the ninth Head of Household competition of the summer. To no one’s surprise, Michael completely obliterated the competition by solving his puzzle faster than anyone. He won his third HOH of the season and secured his spot in the final six.

At the nomination ceremony, Michael put Terrance Higgins and Alyssa Snider on the block. Terrance was the intended target, but Michael kept Matthew Turner in the back of his mind as a replacement nominee.

Michael, Terrance, Alyssa, Taylor Hale, Monte Taylor, and Brittany Hoopes participated in the week nine Big Brother 24 Power of Veto competition. It was the iconic BB Comics setup — you can check out the comics at Entertainment Weekly — and Michael won. If anyone out there is counting, Michael has now won six Power of Veto competitions in Big Brother 24.

At the veto meeting, Michael chose to leave the nominations the same.

When Michael won the Slippery Slope veto during Big Brother 24 week eight, he tied the record for most POV wins in a season, which is five.

Former houseguests who also won five vetoes in a single season were Janelle Pierzina (Big Brother 7), Daniele Donato (Big Brother 8), Paul Abrahamian (Big Brother 19), and Kaycee Clark (Big Brother 20).

But with his sixth veto victory, Michael now holds the record for most POV wins in a single season. And if he wins two more Power of Veto competitions in Big Brother 24, Michael would tie the record for most POV wins ever. Paul currently holds that title with eight wins over the course of Big Brother 18 and Big Brother 19.

Could Michael break another ‘Big Brother 24’ record in the next Power of Veto competition?

Michael can’t compete in the next HOH, which will be in the double eviction. However, since they will have reached the final six, every Big Brother 24 houseguest will play in the remaining veto competitions. So Michael could theoretically win his seventh POV of the season during the double eviction. And if he does secure this victory, Michael will break another Big Brother record.

When Michael won the BB comics veto, he earned his ninth total win of the season. This feat tied him with Janelle’s record for most total wins in a single season. So if Michael does win the double eviction POV or any competition that follows it, he would break Janelle’s record set in 2006.

The Big Brother 24 double eviction airs Thursday, Sept. 8, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.

The results of the Big Brother 24week 9 Power of Veto competition are in, courtesy of the live feeds, and the winner is the current Head of Household (HOH) Michael Bruner. This is his sixth veto win of the season, and he has now broken Janelle Pierzina's single-season veto win record of five vetoes from season 7. In later seasons, Daniele Donato (season 8), Paul Abrahamian (season 19), and Kaycee Clark (season 20) had tied Janelle the Veto Queen's record. Michael achieved this in less than 60 days inside the Big Brother house, which is the fastest anyone has done this in the show's history. Michael has also tied Janelle's single-season overall win record of nine wins from season 7, with his three HOH and six veto competition victories.

As HOH, Michael nominated Terrance Higgins and Alyssa Snider for eviction, with Terrance as his target. Michael has not been aligned with either of them since the beginning of the game. Although his Final 2 partner, Brittany Hoopes, thought that targeting their former Leftovers alliance member Matt "Turner" Turner was a better game move, Michael had promised him safety the previous week in return for him evicting Kyle Capener.

Now the Big Brother live feeds have revealed that all the power is in Michael's hands as he has won the classic BB Comics Power of Veto competition during his HOH week. During the veto ceremony, Michael decided not to use the Power of Veto and left his nominations the same, so Terrance will likely be joining the jury this week. Michael and Terrance have had some tension between them after Terrance pointed out that Michael used Kyle's misstep of assuming that all the people of color in the house were in a secret alliance like The Cookout as a game move. Michael had said that he exposed Kyle because it was the morally right thing to do, but Terrance felt that, if that were true, then Michael would not have kept the information to himself for weeks before disclosing it at the opportune moment to further his own game.

Thursday night's Big Brother 24 episode will be a double eviction, which means that a week's worth of the game will be played in one night after either Terrance or Alyssa heads to the jury house. Many of the other Big Brother 24 houseguests have mentioned that Michael will be their target as the game moves forward, and this will be a big opportunity for them to evict him because he will not be eligible to play as the outgoing HOH. He will have to rely on Brittany to win and keep him safe. Another way to ensure his safety for the week would be to win the Power of Veto. If he did, that would be his tenth win of the season, and he would break Janelle's record.

Michael has proven himself to be one of the most exciting Big Brother houseguests in a long time. A self-proclaimed superfan, he has a love for the game that shines through in his energy in competitions. If he survives the double eviction this week, Michael might be on his way to winning the $750,000 grand prize.

Big Brother airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT and Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.

Did Michael use the Power of Veto tonight?

The nominations are locked-in. Michael used the Power of Veto to take his 'ride or die' Brittany off the block.

Who won the veto Big Brother?

At Dyer Fest in the backyard Terrance won their Power of Veto. As the HoH he has all the power to make whatever move he wishes to this week. Since Kyle outed the entire Leftovers alliance to Terrance yesterday his target at the present time is Joseph. Terrance has nominated Joseph and Turner for eviction.

Who won pov on Big Brother today?

It was revealed on the live feeds that Brittany won the Power of Veto and because she did, that guarantees her a spot in the final four.

Does Michael win the Veto?

So once he — somewhat shockingly — did not win the Veto on Thursday's live double eviction episode, Veto victor Monte Taylor and HOH Matt Turner took their shot (after urging from Taylor Hale), and Michael was eliminated in a unanimous 3-0 vote.
