Why would you use a higher sample rate?

Using a higher sample rate with your audio music recording can prevent aliasing problems that are common with cymbals, brass, and some string instruments. A sample rate that's moderately higher can also smooth out high frequency filters.

What sample rate should FL Studio be at?

ALSO make sure your computer Audio Setting Output 'Sample rate' and the Audio Interface Output 'Sample rate', plus Input 'Sample rate', all match. Everything should be 44.1 kHz (44100 Hz), or 48 kHz (48,000 Hz) if that is not available for one or more devices in the chain.

What does sample rate in FL Studio do?

Sample Rate - Sets the sample play-back rate used by the mixer. Where possible use the default sample rate of 44100Hz.

Should I increase my sample rate?

In theory, it's not a bad idea to work in a higher audio sample rate, like 176.4 kHz or 192 kHz. The files will be larger, but it can be nice to maximize the sound quality until the final bounce. In the end, however, the audio will likely be converted to either 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz.
