Warrior Cats is an animated TV series based on the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter. The series follows four clans who fight for survival. It originaly ran for 4 seasons from 2009 to 2012, until it was cancelled after "The Last Hope" aired, but due to fans demanding for a 5th season, the series was revived on March 8, 2013. On November 12, 2021, Hunter announced that the series would not be renewed for a thirteenth season due to low ratings. She also announced that season twelve would end as a two-part, hour-long special. The special aired on January 1, 2022.

• 2 In the Warriors universe, a large group of feral cats has settled into a forest, and claimed it for their own. The cats are split into four smaller Clans: ThunderClan lives in woodland areas, WindClan reside on the moors, RiverClan by the lake and ShadowClan within and around the swamps. A fifth Clan, SkyClan, also used to be a part of this system, but was forced to flee when their territory was destroyed to make human houses. Each Clan has adapted to their own terrain; RiverClan, for example, will swim in the river to catch fish, whilst the majority of cats from the other Clans fear and avoid bodies of water.
