Head to Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID and ensure this is enabled. Thread reply - more options
Incoming Caller ID has nothing to do with any settings on your device. That is controlled by the carrier and the caller. Thread reply - more options
Thanks, have tried this several times. Switching phone on & off as well. Thread reply - more options
Sorry, I didn't read that it was for incoming calls. Thread reply - more options
Thanks, my husband and I are on the same plan & his works but he has an iPhone 8. The weird thing is if I get text or WhatsApp messages it shows the caller id. Thread reply - more options
Being on the same cellular plan means nothing. You can have multiple phones with different settings. Again, your phone is not the problem. Caller ID comes from the people calling you. You can contact your carrier if you wish, but I would say to let your friends know. Thread reply - more options
Thanks, I understand what you mean, but it’s only happened since the last iOS update. Before the update it was all working fine. Thread reply - more options
Things can change without your knowing it. You can check with the carrier, or you can restore your phone, or you can just forget about it. Those are the choices at this point. Thread reply - more options
Thanks for your time to help me out. Thread reply - more options OK, so I just spoke to Verizon and "My Personal Tech" - LOL - and he said they DO NOT remove that feature. In fact they do not remove any feature from the iPhone... So, there's that. I know I can use *67 to block my calls one at a time OR Verizon will put up a block for me on ALL of my outgoing calls. So at least I have a workaround - inconvenient but ok. OF CORSE Verizon also has a package for $4.99 MORE a month that will let me block "UNKNOWNS" & might do the trick on the "Show My Caller ID" as well - NO THANKS!!!!! I'll be using my "Do Not Disturb" Feature to send anyone NOT on my Contacts list to voicemail, instead. I figure if it's a legit call, they'll leave a message & the others can call all they want, so long as I don't have to hear it while in a meeting or on a date! Thanks for your help - I kinda figured that Verizon was full of it! Answer: A: What do you mean by change it, turn it on or off? If you go to Settings>Phone>Show My Caller ID. If that setting does not appear or is grayed out, you will need to contact your cellular carrier about it. Not all carriers provide the ability to change the Caller ID setting on the device.
