The desert meets the ocean in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, a popular beach resort destination for couples, families, and groups in Mexico's Baja California Peninsula. The sight of huge cacti juxtaposed against sand dunes and the deep water blue of the Pacific Ocean and emerald hues of the Sea of Cortez is surreally beautiful. And there are plenty of resorts, from five-star luxe to good value, for all budgets and styles of traveler.

The main town is colorful Cabo San Lucas, which is where you'll find numerous restaurants, shops, and a marina where boat excursions can be arranged.

The area surrounding the town is known as Los Cabos, and while hotels and resorts are found around the entire region, many are concentrated around Lands End at the southern end of Cabo, including a number of excellent all-inclusive properties. This is also where the famous natural arch, set amid other rock formations in the sea is located.

You can swim (or float) in it or grab a stand up paddleboard or kayak to paddle around it.

Beyond the lagoon, the resort has a few other swimming pools and hot tubs, as well as multiple restaurants. The food here is top quality, and all-inclusive packages are available. And the spa is heavenly–get a massage in an open air cabana fronting the crashing waves and golden sand beach.

The all suite resort offers spacious abodes with marble floors and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open onto a well-furnished balcony.
