To set the automatic oven timer, use the two dials next to the clock marked "Stop" and "Start". Each dial is marked in 15 minute segments and numbered by the hour. The pointers on these dials can be moved only when the knob is pushed in. There is a sound when the pointers are turned. Note: Before setting these dials, make sure that the range clock is set to the correct time of day. To set the oven to come on at a later time:
When the range clock advances to the time of day that was selected for "Start", the START knob will pop out and the oven will begin heating. When the "Stop" time is reached, the STOP knob will pop out and the oven will turn off. To start the cooking process manually and have the oven turn off automatically:
On most models, the oven cycling light will come on immediately after setting up the Time Bake cycle. The Bake indicator light stays on all the time. Note: It is not possible to Time Bake and Temperature (Probe) Cook at the same time. There is a clock with a cooking timer. The cooking duration and finish time are set when you set the controls. What is the difference between cook time and timer on an oven? They work the same, but the difference is the bake timer only works when the baking mode is engaged and the regular timer can be used to time anything, even non-cooking tasks. Press the bake time or timer button, then use the arrow keys or the keypad to enter in the baking time.
Does cook time Turn off oven whirlpool? The timer function works independently from the oven and cooktop. Setting only the timer does not turn the oven on or off; it's just an alert that rings an alarm at the chosen time.
Do ovens turn off after a certain time? Most ovens and ranges with touch pad clock controls will automatically shut off after 12 hours. The benefit of this is the peace-of-mind and energy savings if the oven is accidentally left on.
