Are Nosler ballistic Tips accurate?

Nosler Ballistic Tip bullets had color-coded plastic tips that varied in color depending on the caliber. These pointy polymer tips and a sleek boat tail gave Ballistic Tips a high ballistic coefficient. They instantly developed a reputation for extreme accuracy, but some hunters claimed they were too soft for big game.

Are Nosler ballistic Tips good for hunting?

Note that Nosler Ballistic Tip ammo is not really designed for extreme long range hunting (like the Hornady Precision Hunter line of ammo). It's also not intended for hunting extremely large and tough game (like Nosler's ammo loaded with AccuBond bullets).

What grain of bullet is best for 270 Winchester?

If you like your deer DRT (Dead Right There), and don't mind lead fragments and a lot of devestation in the body cavity, the clear choice in 270 Winchester is to use a traditional 130 grain bullet. While any of them will work, if you're reloading them anyways, you might as well go with a ballistic tip style bullet.

What are Ballistic Tip bullets good for?

In rifle shooting terms, 'ballistic tips' help bullets stay in the air longer by reducing the effects of wind and gravity.
