I would say leave a weekend open. It might only take a few hours but it seems like there is always runs to the hardware store or whatnot when I'm wrenching. If this is your first TJ lift I would say around the 7 hour ballpark. But if you leave the whole weekend open and have it done on saturday you can go test it out on sunday. Sounds like you have the
tools and skills. Joined

I installed mine in less than 8 hrs without any help. You should easily do it in a day. Joined Feb 4, 2003 · 1,412 Posts
If you have never don a TJ before, with the air tools to help, around 6-8. First one I did took right at 7, but that was with 2 trips to the auto parts store. Probably could do it in 4-5 now. Joined Feb 24, 2003 · 9,125 Posts
My buddy did his in 3, but 6-8 sounds like a good start on a TJ. Joined May 15, 2011 · 81 Posts

it can take much longer. Joined Aug 21, 2005 · 23,203 Posts

rust ,rust ,and more rust . add 4 hrs. if you live in rust belt . Start soaking anything that's rusty in some sort of penetrating oil about two days beforehand and you'll save yourself a headache or two. If you get stuck, crack open a cold one and apply liberal amounts of BFH. Repeat as needed. Joined Jun 4, 2011 · 112 Posts

took me 2 afternoons and I don't get off til 5, stopped working around 11 both nights, didn't get the transfercase dropped in that time because of .......RUST nuts that were tack welded inside the frame had rusted loose and allowed the studs to free turn, point being, there's always problems. You can do it fast, with planning and the right tools two people can install a 4" lift in less than four hours. Or you can do it right, which takes considerably longer.
