Fortnite fans have a lot to look forward to as the Soundwave Series returns via a virtual concert featuring the iconic musician Gen Hoshino. Players can catch the concert in-game at specific times to experience the musical celebration. Players can also earn around 40,000 XP and get a Soundwave Series - Gen Hoshino Spray after watching the concert.

How to watch the Gen Hoshino Soundwave Series Concert in Fortnite

To queue into the concert, players will have to select the Soundwave Series from Epic’s Pick in the game modes Discover tab. If you cannot find it in the Discover Tab, then try adding this Island Code to automatically open the Island page: 6831-7094-7130. After you have queued in the concert, enjoy the show, and emote with everyone else. We recommend players wait till the end to collect the coin.

How long is the Soundwave Series Concert in Fortnite?

Fans wondering if they will miss the concert have nothing to worry about, as the performance will be aired on repeat for 72 hours non-stop. The concert starts on June 9, 2022, at 8am ET and will continue until June 12, 2022. You also have the freedom to watch the concert via Picture-in-Picture while trying out different game modes. The show itself lasts for a few minutes, and it ends beautifully with players releasing sky lanterns to light up the horizon.

Where to collect the coin in Soundwave Series Gen Hoshino in Fortnite

After finishing the concert, a pop-up will show on the screen that will direct players toward a platform. The coin is kept in front of the stairs, and players will simply have to collect the coin to be rewarded with 40,000 XP and the Soundwave Series - Gen Hoshino Spray! Nothing is better than getting free XP, and players will need all the XP they can get to earn more Battle Stars and complete this season's Battle Pass.

A Concert Coin is a special Fortnite collectable only available in Soundwave Series Creative experiences. You have to collect Concert Coins to satisfy Soundwave Series Challenges.

Fortnite Concert Coins: How To Collect A Concert Coin

To collect a Concert Coin, you must play through an entire Soundwave Series Creative experience. Each Soundwave Series artist's interactive experience is unique and involves manoeuvring through a one-of-a-kind Creative Mode map while listening to a setlist from the spotlighted artist.

For example, the upcoming Soundwave Series show scheduled to run 72 hours straight starting Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11 PM BST, will feature Brazilian rapper Emicida. The interactive experience will take us through his life's journey and how it influenced his music — beginning as a mere street rap battler to becoming recognised internationally.

At the end of the show, you will be greeted by a large, golden coin with Fortnite's signature "F" on the face of it — this is a Concert Coin. Approach the Concert Coin and move through it to collect it.

Each Soundwave Series show has offered slightly different rewards for collecting its Concert Coin, but generally, A Concert Coin will grant you a large sum of XP and an exclusive spray only available for a limited time via that specific Soundwave Series show.

Fortnite players who collect the Emicida Concert Coin before the show ends on Monday, May 2, at 11 PM BST will unlock the Soundwave Series - Emicida Spray topped off with 45k XP toward the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass.

In addition to the free rewards, Each Soundwave Series artist will have a couple of themed items available to purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop throughout the duration of their show.

The Fortnite Soundwave Series is a lineup of interactive Fortnite concert-like experiences featuring top-of-the-line musical artists from around the world. Soundwave Series shows headlined by Egyptian artist Mohamed Hamaki and Australian singer-songwriter Tones have already come and gone, while a third Soundwave Series experience with Brazilian rapper Emicida is right around the corner. Even more Soundwave Series shows with Japanese pop artist and music producer Gen Hoshino and French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura are scheduled to occur at later dates.

No Soundwave Series show will ever be the same, as each artist brings their own twist on the interactive experience.
